Oh, you had asked about a possible DC villain to take on Buffy, Adrianne and the gang? I've always been partial to Ra's Al Ghul(pronounced Raysh Al Ghoul), a popular Batman villain. Immortal, has plenty of financial and political power, obsessed with the idea of culling the human population, not above using the occasional mystical artifact, and just plain too cool for school! He was voiced by David Warner in Batman, the Animated Series. Check him out.
