"Hey Oracle." Buffy walked up to the wheelchair-bound redhead that 
sat forlornly in front of her large-screen monitor. She stopped 
short, and the breeze furled her dark black cape around her ankles.
Oracle looked up. "Oh. Its you." Resentment dripped with every 
syllable.
"How many times do I have to apologise for breaking your spine?" 
Buffy growled.
Oracle snorted. "You were gifted with the power of Slayer strength. 
You must have known what would happen once you achieved orgasm."
Buffy shrugged. "Why the summons? There a big, brewin' evil... 
brewing?"
"Sector G1." Oracle's hands flew over the keyboard and pulled up 
satellite surveillance images. "Gotham City Bank. Looks like the 
Joker is up to his evil tricks once more."
Buffy stared at her feet. Her nemesis the Joker. Once, the Joker 
had been a happy-go-lucky teenager. Normal. And then bitterness, 
angst, and the manipulations of an ex-demon had twisted him into 
something... not quite human anymore."
"I'm on my way," she said.

"Wait for me, puddin'" Harlequin called out. Dressed in an 
outrageous Bunny outfit, she seemed suitably matched somehow to the 
grinning visage of Joker. 
"Hehehee!" The Joker rubbed his hands in insane glee. "Soon the 
BatSlayer will come tumbling into my delightfully delectable trap!"
"What trap, sugah?"
Joker pointed to a huge whoopee cushion in the centre of the 
floor. "When the Slayer lands on that cushion, the HyperDecibel poop 
noise will cause her to go dizzy, and stumble into this pit..." He 
gestured to an ill-fitting carpet. "Which covers the tunnel that was 
supposed to go into the bank's vault itself!"
"Er, why didn't thee tunnel go into the vault again?"
Joker's smile slipped, just a little. "I missed." Joker let out 
another barking laugh. "Hehehee! Isn't life so wonderfully ironic?"
"Sure is, puddin'."

"Be careful," Oracle's voice crackled in Buffy's ear as her BatCycle 
roared down Gotham's central plaza. "Its bound to be a trap."
"Understood. Its okay, I've brought backup. I contacted the JLA, and 
they sent AquaTara to accompany me."
Buffy turned to AquaTara, who was keeping pace on a 
SeaCow. "Everything okay?" she asked.
Tara nodded.
"Moo!" said her steed, baring a strange family resemblance to its 
rider.
