Melinda smirked. "You're like the energizer bunny!! Awww how cute!!"
Xander rubbed Anya's shoulders. "Hey, hey, shh."
Anya broke free. "No, no, it's an omen. It's a higher power, trying
to tell me through bunnies that we're all gonna die. Oh god."
Xander blinked. "No it's not."
Anya dropped the bunny back in her box as Xander put his arms
around her waist from behind.
"Imaginary Xander is quite the machine!" Buffy commented.
Anne-Lise peered out from her box, and took notes.

Buffy sighed. "I'm never getting out of here. I kept thinking if I
stopped the Mayor or ..." She broke off. "I was kidding myself. I
mean, there's always going to be something. I'm a Sunnydale girl, no
other choice."
"Must be tough," Willow agreed. "I mean, here I am, I can do
anything I want. I can go to any college in the country, four or five
in Europe if I want..."
Buffy pouted. "Please tell me you're going somewhere with this?"
"Nope." Willow passed a letter to Buffy. "I'm not going anywhere."
Buffy blinked. "UC Sunnydale?"
"I will be matriculating with Class of 2003." Willow smiled, waiting
for Buffy to catch up.
Buffy's eyes widened. "Are you serious?"
Willow grinned. "Say," she said, as if this had just occurred to
her. "Isn't that where you're going?"
Buffy squealed and tackled Willow, tumbling them both onto the
floor. "I can't believe it!" she said, breathless and excited. "Are
you serious?" her happiness faded as quickly as it came. "Ah, wait,
what am I saying? You can't."
Willow frowned. "What do you mean, I can't?"
"I won't let you," Buffy replied.
Willow set her jaw. Resolve face. "Of the two people here, which is
the boss of me?"
"There are better schools," Buffy pointed out.
Willow shrugged. "I'm not doing it for you, I'm doing it for me.
I'm being selfish but I don't care." When Buffy looked at her
questioningly, she added, "I realised if I left you, there wouldn't
be a future for me, at least not a future I'd care much for. I've
realised that all I want is you. Sounds naive, doesn't it? But I
don't care... I really don't. It feels good. You make me feel happy
and no one has given me as much as you have. No-one makes me feel the
way I do when you hug me, and kiss me, and make love to me. I don't
care if we're different... I don't care if we're both girls... I love
you... and that's all that matters."
Buffy smiled. "Talk is easy... Prove it."
"How?" Willow asked, knitting her brows and pulling a stray red
tress away from her face.
"Kiss me," Buffy replied, swallowing.
"Here?" Willow glanced around at the hordes of milling students.
"Yep. You said you love me, and that you didn't care if we're both
girls. Prove it!" Buffy's mouth quirked with stifled amusement.
"Okay, I am gonna prove it!" Willow drew closer and took hold of
Buffy's burning cheeks, tilting her head up for the kiss to follow.
Willow kissed Buffy, while Buffy pulled her nearer, holding her
tight, their bodies touching each other. Willow and Buffy ignored the
incredulous gang of Cordelia-followers and their obvious shock.
Willow grew weak, breaking the kiss. She was out of breath.
"You ought to be ashamed of yourselves," they heard a voice exclaim.
Willow and Buffy turned to see Xander smirking at them. "Such a
shame. You're two pretty girls. You should have no trouble finding a
handsome young man." Xander's grin widened.
"Who says that I want a handsome young man?" Willow retorted,
keeping her calm, and clasping Buffy's hand. "The love of my life is
right here next to me. And I'll never leave her. Never."
Willow smiled at Buffy as Cordelia dragged Xander (and Xander's
grin) away.
"Satisfied?" Willow asked.
"Yes... But what about college? You're throwing away your future."
Willow shrugged. "Sunnydale's not bad. A-And I can design my own
curriculum."
Buffy sighed. "Okay, well, there are safer schools. There are safer
prisons. I can't let you stay just because of me."
"Actually, this isn't just about you." Willow chewed her
lip. "Although, you know I love you. The other night, you know, being
captured and all, facing off with Faith. Things just, kind of, got
clear. I mean, you've been fighting evil here for three years, and
I've helped some, and now we're supposed to decide what we want to do
with our lives. And I just realised that that's what I want to do.
Fight evil, help people. I mean, I... I think it's worth doing. And I
don't think you do it because you have to. It's a good fight, Buffy,
and I want in."
Buffy grinned. "I kind of love you."
"Only kinda?" Willow mock-pouted, and Buffy giggled.
"Well, okay. I do love you." she said. "Lots!" The growing audience
started to applaud.
Willow chuckled, her cheeks burning. "With you beside me I don't
think I'll ever get bored..."
Buffy smiled, her heart pounding, almost not believing this could
be happening. They'd screamed out their love for all the world to
hear!
They started back towards class through the admiring crowd. Buffy
felt the warmth in her own cheeks. 'Me and my big mouth,' she
thought.
It was confrontation time. Everything was happening the way she'd
wanted, the kiss and the fact that Willow held her hand still... She
couldn't complain if things didn't turn out the way she had only
dreamed about.

Showering after gym, Buffy and Willow slipped on their shorts and T-
shirts, giggling. They walked to the parking lot where Giles opened
the door of his old battered Citroen.
"Not now," Buffy whispered, recognising that crazy lust in Willow's
eyes that made her instantaneously wet.
Willow just grinned, a mischievous smirk lighting her face.
In the back seat, as Giles pointedly concentrated on the road
ahead, Buffy was being kissed by Willow, hands exchanging caresses on
breasts, tummies, legs, thighs, necks... Wet trails down cheeks and
necks... Moans... Whispers... Loving embraces... And more moans...
and then pleasure...
Willow nestled herself against Buffy and said, "I want to ask you
something... I'll go crazy if I don't ask."
"Shoot," said Buffy, her hand between Willow's thighs, touching her
mound, revelling in her wetness and warmth...
"What do we tell your mother?" Willow asked.
Buffy smiled. "I think she's already guessed... But where do you
think we're going now?"

End.
