Section 1.3: Shockwaves

It was Dru who sensed it first, or maybe it was Z that felt it like he so
often did, but the simultaneous telepathic warnings left little doubt that
they had been set up and that they were in way over their heads. In other
words: Business as usual for the SG-Force.
-Get down!- ran through the minds of the team and everybody else
within a mile radius. The noise from the exploding factory was deafening and
the blast that followed swept of the landscape blowing up dust and knocking
those over who had not listened to the telepathic warning. Spike spun
around taking the blast and covering Rex with his body as the dust and smoke
blew past him. Z stood unscathed alongside with Angel inside a force bubble
he had summoned. The others dove to the ground and covered their heads while
the blast blew over.
"What the hell was that!?!" Buffy shouted as she jumped to her feet
and scanned the landscape.
"A Dim-Gate," Hope said over the comlink.
"Come again Watcher-Girl?" Buffy yelled into the comlink.
"A Dimensional Gate used for planetary travel," Hope explained. "And
get this it wasn't focused on any co-ordinate I know about," she added.
"Dru please tell me you didn't know about this?" Rex asked while she
helped the vampire to her feet.
"I don't touch dimensional travel and nobody in my company would
even dream of trying it," the vampire said defensively.
"Hope, I need information," Spike said into his wristband.
"Well what ever they were trying it didn't work, but I'm already
detecting a massive influx of energy into the area," Hope answered from the
Mansion as her hands flew over keyboards and pressed on holographic
dataspheres.
"Not that luv, the big bloody book what does it say?" he asked.
"Oh sorry, let me see... here it is: And what was once sealed shall
become unsealed," Hope read.
"What shall be sealed shall become..." Spike recited as he ran the
line through his mind and then went paler. "Bloody hell," he muttered.
"Slayer we are in deep shit."
"No kidding," Buffy said. "Somebody is trying to punch through the
barrier we, I mean you and the original me set up to block the Hellmouth,"
she said. "And don't give me that look Spike I read my history," she added.
"Now what do we do to stop it from happening?" She said and turned to the
group who was standing besides Spike waiting for action.
"Well I could try and shut it down," Z said. "But I'm not sure that
messing with space and time is within my power," the stoic telepath added.
"Yet," Dru said quietly.
"Well we can always go in there and break stuff," Angel suggested.
"Hate to rain on your parade sister, but the generator is roughly
one hundred meters across and goes down about two thousand meters into the
bedrock where it again branches out," Hope reported over the link.
"Spike?" Buffy asked as she considered asking the OA if they could
nuke the place, if only they had nukes.
"I'm just a Guardian and the light of Hope doesn't exactly work that
way," Spike explained with a shrug.
"I can plug it," Willow said from where she just sat on the ground
with her feet crossed.
"Come again?" Angel asked fluttering her wings to shake off the dust
and dirt that had was settling on them.
"I have the power to do it. I'll just fuel enough of the plasma into
the next rift they'll form and that will make the rift implode on itself
once I explode it and take the generator with it," Willow explained as she
generated a small ball of blue plasma.
"I can create a pressure pocket around it and increase the blast," Z
said. "Just in case," he then added.
"But will it be enough?" Buffy asked. "Hope you get that?" she then
asked over the comlink.
"We got it Miss Summers," G.I.L.E.S. answered. "What you are
proposing would yield enough destructive power to close the rift and destroy
the generator," he then said.
"All I needed to hear," Buffy said.
"Need I remind you that the installation is underground and heavily
defended?" the A.I. asked back.
"That's were we come in," Spike said and cracked is knuckles. "Right
Slayer?" he then asked with a grin that Buffy returned before her eyes fell
upon Willow sitting on the ground.

Section 1.4: End Assault

We had a plan. Sure it was untested and based on the fact that both Willow
and Z should be able to do things with their powers they had never tried
before, but hey it's like Spike said once: You hit the soft parts with your
fists and the hard parts with utensils. My only concern is that we might not
survive this. That's why I'm asking Dru for help.
"Can you teleport us out just before it blows?" Buffy asked the
master vampire as they, along with a battalion of OA agents, made their way
towards the ruins of the factory and hopefully the entrance into the
underground labyrinth that held the generator.
"Sure," Dru said. "But I'll need an anchor point," she added.
"Done," Buffy said and opened up the comlink. "Hope I'm putting Dru
on, she has a back-up plan I need you to help her make it work."
"OK," came a reluctant reply. "But her on."
Buffy punches in the command that transferred the signal to Dru's wristband,
what the two mystics talk about was something beyond her knowledge so she
turned her attention towards her objective. It was obvious that Future-2 had
tricked them into believing that they wanted the cloning technology Dru
Enterprises possessed, they had just wanted Dru out of the way as master
vampire of Sunnydale.
"Why are they trying to open the Hellmouth again, they can't be that
stupid?" Rex was asking Spike and that caught Buffy's attention.
"Not stupid, insane and looking for revenge," Buffy said and turned
her full attention on Angel. "Just what did you do to Demonique and Future,
Angel?" she asked.
"Nothing much," Angel said and bit her lip. "Freed the test
subjects, took out their commanders and blew up the building, I think that's
it. But then again I was pretty much out of it at the time," she answered
and then shot a look at Z to tell him to shut the hell up.
"Well time to save the world boys and girls," Spike said as they
entered the ruins of the factory and all discussions were floored for now.

The place was as both Buffy and "master strategist" Spike had thought. A
labyrinth of passageways and tunnels designed to split up intruders and
filled with all sorts of nasty surprises like guard posts, electric traps,
trapdoors and the ever classic walls that move closer and closer until you
can just skip that latest diet. Soon the team was alone and at least a
thousand feet underground. The last guard post had felt the full force of
Slayer irritation and the claustrophobia that Angel was feeling.
"Great another fork," Angel muttered as she wiped the blood off her
talons. The red glow from the warning lights gave an eerie glow to the whole
scene and the sounds of blaring claxons filled the air.
"I can feel it," Willow who had been almost catatonic since the
initial blast muttered and reached out with her hand. Spike stepped up next
to the plasma-slinger and a small point of light appeared at his fingertip.
"Red is right boys and girls, there is something that way that's not
supposed to be there," he said just as he finished Angel visibly tensed up
and her wings started to rise and fall.
"Angel you are making me nervous," Rex said as she adjusted the
energy blade.
"No time," Angel muttered. "Buffy, Dru go! Make sure that Z and
Willow get to the generator it is five hundred meters down that shaft," she
said and pointed in the direction Willow had pointed out. It didn't take too
long for Spike or Buffy to realize that Angel had just taken charge.
"Alright," Buffy shouted. "Spike, Rex and Angel, you guys stay here
and make sure we have enough time, Dru you are with me anything gets near
them I want them twitching on the floor," she said firmly and the vampire
smiled. "Angel you and me are going to have a talk after this is done," she
said firmly and then turned and disappeared into the passageway, but Z
stayed behind.
-Good luck- Angel said as she felt Z's presence.
-Love you- Z answered as he followed
-No you don't, now go- Angel said and the telepath turned around and
disappeared after the Slayer.
"What was that all about?" Rex asked as she took up a battle stance
besides the avian.
"Teenage crush," Angel answered as she opened a pouch on her belt
and drew a golden cylinder.
"Nice handle," Spike said as he took his ever casual and carefree
battle stance to her left. "And trust me what that boy feels is no crush,"
he added with a grin.
"Spike?" the comlink crackled with Hope's voice.
"Kind of busy here luv," Spike answered.
"Good luck," the mystic said and then the comlink went dead.
"Here they come," Rex shouted as they threw themselves at the guards
that came rushing down the corridor.
"Nobody passes," Spike shouted as he severed a gunarm and the
blinded three others with a blast of light.
"Great just great," Rex muttered as she danced around the guards,
making small cuts that seemed to grow in numbers with each pass. But she was
getting at least half of that back, in near misses and blaster fire grazing
the outside of her slay-suit.
Angel was silent as she went about her work, cutting the right nerves and
breaking the right bones with almost surgical precision and so the wave
diminished and then trickled to a stop. There was a small clapping sound
that grew louder as a demonic form emerged from the shadows.
"My, my you are a brutal bunch if need be," Demonique said with a
gleeful smile. "Why don't we take this outside," she then said with a snap
of her clawed fingers and Angel vanished leaving only Spike, Rex and a whole
lot of guards coming their way.
"Shouldn't we go after her?" Rex asked as she found herself pressing
her back against Spike's.
"Nope, we need to make sure the powerhouses have peace to finish the
job," Spike said. "Also I don't think we'd be much help to Angel anyway," he
added and Rex took a picture of William Spike admitting that there was
nothing he could do.

Willow was scared out of her wits, she didn't know what to do, so she just
followed Buffy and Dru, both women fueled with a rage that surpassed their
mutual hate for each other. Z wasn't much help, having gone deep into
himself to gather up the strength he would need for the coming task, if they
would even make it that far. Half dazed she drove plasma spikes through two
guards that tried to rush her, that made Buffy stop for a moment and give
her a puzzled look, the Slayer said something and she shrugged.
"We are here," Dru announced in her eerie voice, a sign that the
vampire was using some of her abilities and it would help to explain the two
screaming guards they had past that kept mumbling about the stars calling
them. The passage had come to a dead end and below them was a shear drop
into the heart of the machine.
"Can you do it from here?" Buffy asked as she leaned over the edge
and peered into down.
"Why haven't they noticed us yet?" Dru asked in a very controlled
voice.
"I've been running telepathic interference so any backup is
persuaded to stay away from us," Z said opening his red eyes.
"Need I remind little brother that we have about a thousand OA
agents running around above you," Hope said over the comlink. "Men! Always
thinking that they are saving the world single handedly" she then mumbled.
"Alright," Buffy said firmly. "Willow, Z get started, Hope give me
status and Dru anybody comes that way," she said and pointed down the way
they had come.
"I'll fry his brains," Dru said with a wishful smile.
"Right," Buffy said slowly. "Hope talk to me!"
"OA is cleaning up the upper levels, but Spike and Rex are pinned
down about a kilometer behind you," the Watcher reported.
"What about Angel?" Buffy asked as a blue glow started to fill the
small passage.
"Feeding you the newsfeed coverage," Hope said and the small
holoscreen on the wristbands flickered to life.

The fight was brutal, Angel still sore from her last run in with her sister,
the fighting in the compound and beginning to feel the slight withdrawal
from the jumpstart pills Z had flushed was fighting her sister, Demonique ,
high above the ruined remains of the factory and news crews had just showed
up. Now she was huddled behind the wreck of a hovercar waiting for the end,
on live Holo-v.
"Angel you there?" Hope's voice crackled over the comlink, the
crackle was due to the rather nasty blow Angel had blocked with her
wristband.
"Not a good time Hope," Angel said as she dodged another blast from
Demonique's shoulder mounted blasters. Her sister was taking a near demonic
glee in this, playing with her, and right now Angel knew that was the only
thing keeping her alive. She was tired, beaten and...
-Snap out of it Angelica- a firm voice rang inside her mind.
-Z but...- she started.
-You are not tired and you are not beaten- the telepath answered
firmly.
-You shouldn't be wasting your time like this- she answered back
firmly.
-Time has no meaning right now- he answered. -Now get up off your
behind and do what you did to this harpy five years ago-
Angel looked up at her sister, just hovering above her, taunting her and
like five years ago completely underestimating her.
"No boyfriend to save you this time Angelica," she said.
"No hovercar to break your fall this time Demonique," Angel answered
as she sprang up from behind the wrecked hovercar she'd been hiding behind.
"Oh crap," was just about the last audible thing Demonique muttered
as Angel bore down on her with her full fury. No pills to keep her going, no
worrying about her friends getting hurt or seeing her like this and most of
all knowing that Z now knew everything and that he literally would never
leave her.

Inside the mansion maproom Hope smiled as she watched the monitors showing
the status of each team member. The holofeed of Angel taking Demonique apart
played on the main screen and the various readings from the armor flowed
around it.
Rex's heart was racing, her pain threshold was proving high though and the
wristbands were releasing adrenaline and a mild painkiller into her system.
Spike was for all purposes dead, but his brainwaves were off the chart and
according to some of the instruments he wasn't even there, but somewhere
else. She smiled despite herself as the Guardian cracked jokes while cutting
down the guards.
"I think they did use the cloning technology," Hope said as she
brought up a small display with information on the guards that seemed to be
in unending supply.
"Then converted it into the generator," G.I.L.E.S. said. "Or at
least used the power source."
"So Dru wasn't in control of her company anymore," Hope nodded.
"OA agents reporting levels one to five cleared," G.I.L.E.S. reported.
"Great tell them to start moving out, cause the A-Team is getting ready for
the big finale," she said as she caught a glimpse of the energy reading
coming from Willow and her brother.
-Be carefully little brother- she sent out and felt the caring touch of her
brother's mind on hers.
-Always am- was the answer.
"Okay G.I.L.E.S. get ready to move, cause after they set that rift
to critical we'll have about half a heartbeat to get them out," Hope said
and stood up from her post, with a last glance at the Codex she pulled her
red vestments on and started to focus her mind. Nobody knew except for Z and
G.I.L.E.S. that Hope wasn't just any spell-caster.

Buffy felt very helpless since all she could do was look down into the
forming rift below them and hope that Willow could pull this off. First it
wasn't much, a small blue spark appeared in the rift and blinked out, then
another slightly bigger appeared and stayed there by the force of Z's will.
The light both from below and from Willow began to grow brighter and both
Buffy and Dru had to shield their eyes. This was the point of no return.

The first sign Rex saw that they might be on the verge of victory was when
she cut down yet another guard who looked just like the one before that and
nobody stepped up to take his place. Much to her continued annoyance, Spike
wasn't breaking a sweat, but that's what you get from being appointed
Guardian of Earth. Rex a mere human herself, was bleeding and bruised in
places she didn't even know she could get bruised in. The cape that she had
insisted on adding to her slay-suit kept getting in the way.
"Get ready for a slight case of nausea guys," Hope's voice came of
the comlink.
"Teleporting," Spike said as he kicked one of the guards squarely in
the gut. "Kind of like bungee jumping from a supersonic jet," he added.
"Oh freaking perfect," Hope muttered as she snapped another shot,
this one of Spike being smug.

Willow was sweating and obviously in pain. Z stood with his eyes closed and
if he was in any way uncomfortable he wasn't showing it and Buffy was on the
verge of tears from watching her girlfriend go through what had to be a
personal hell. Dru on the other hand was strangely calm, aside from the
occasional giggle.
>From what she had read teleportation was a weird mix of magic and
technology, you need to be adept at magic but you needed a computer to make
sure that the bodies being transported arrived at the same time and at the
same place.
"It's ready," Z said opening his eyes and before the words had left
her mouth Willow slumped down.
"Is she okay?" Dru asked.
"A little drained but otherwise fine," Z answered.
"Dru do it," Buffy said and when nothing happened for a moment or
two and claxons became louder Buffy became worried. "Dru!" she hissed.
"Problem," Dru said.
"Problem," Hope said over the comlink.
"Not my favorite word right now people," Buffy said as she held
Willow upright.
"G.I.L.E.S. has been running the numbers and we can't port everybody
out at once," Hope said.
"Why?" Buffy asked in a cold voice.
"Too much mass," Hope answered.
"By how much?" Z asked.
"Why can only port four and since Angel is already on the surface
two of you have to stay behind," Hope answered and there was a long silence.
"I have my revenge, so I'll stay," Dru said offhandedly.
"I'll stay too," Z said. "Someone's got to keep the plasma from
going off too early," he added.
"No!" was Hope's flat reply.
Buffy looked between the vampire and the telepath and ran some scenarios
through her mind, before letting out a sigh.
"Dru you connected to Hope and G.I.L.E.S?" she asked.
"Yes," the vampire nodded.
"Get Spike and Rex out and then you'll port us out," she said. "Can
we do it that way Hope, two at a time?" she asked.
"Negative Miss Summers, the module we are using is a one trip only,"
G.I.L.E.S. answered.
"And we didn't know this in advance," Buffy screamed into the
comlink.
"Just go," Z said calmly.
"No way," Buffy said firmly.
"Then I'm sorry," Z said as he put Buffy to sleep before the Slayer
could protest and then turned of the comlink. "Dru do it," he said firmly.
The vampire just nodded and Buffy and Willow vanished, along with Spike and
Rex who were fighting in the halls. Angel vanished from where she was
pounding on Demonique above them.
"They are away," Drusilla said.
"It's been a pleasure Miss Drusilla," Z said with a smile as he
offered her his hand.
"Likewise Mister Zoëga, likewise," Dru said as Z released his hold
on the pressurized plasma. Just as the light became too bright a stray
memory entered Z's mind and he smiled and pulled Dru closer.

Angel and Demonique were grappling high above the ground when it heaved and
then started to fall in on itself as the rift imploded deep below the
surface and a cold feeling washed over Angel moments later.
"Z," she screamed as she slammed past Demonique, sending her sister
into a downward spiral since she had shredded her left wing during the high
speed pass.
All thoughts of fighting rushing from her mind in the realization that she
couldn't feel her boyfriend's thoughts anymore. Her first instinct was to
head back to the mansion where the body should have been teleported.

Hope collapsed to the floor when the team appeared in the maproom, there was
a vast emptiness in her mind, she and her brother had always shared a strong
connection and a sense of each other, now that sense was shattered. The red
vestments pooled around her kneeling body as she started to sob.
"Spike take care of her," Buffy, now fully awake as the effects of
Z's sleep order faded fast, ordered and the Guardian silently picked up the
crying watcher.
"What happened?" Willow asked weakly as she opened her eyes.
"He's dead Wills," a cold voice said from the window, where Angel
sat perched, covered in brown dirt and blood. "Felt his presence go out,
can't imagine what it must have been like for Hope. He was a good
soldier..." she whispered sadly and for the first time since joining the
team Rex didn't take a picture and the only sounds that were heard were
Hope's crying and Angel's monologue.

Section 1.5: Happily Ever After?

The remaining SG-Force sat and watched the newsfeeds and listened to
OA-frequencies for news of the blast.
"Heavy toll on the SG-Force..."
"Two members presumed dead..."
"OA agents moving into the area..."
"Nothing remains of the facility where the terrorists faction
Future-2 attempted to reopen the Hellmouth closed by..."
"Turn it off," Buffy ordered from where she sat on the sofa cradling
Willow's head in her lap. "Turn it all off," she added.
"Miss Summers there still might be a..." G.I.L.E.S. started but
stopped when Buffy glared at it. The scene in the maproom was a mess,
uniform pieces and wristbands strewn all over the room. Rex was sitting at
the holomap constantly updating the satellite view of the area, her cape
slung over the back of the chair and her rose tinted glasses lying on the
table next to her energy blade. Spike had given Hope something to calm her
and the Watcher now slept peacefully on the rooms second sofa with the
Guardian standing watch over her and occasionally stroking her cheek or
tucking away a lock of stray hair and Angel, Angel was gone, pieces of her
armor lay around the room where she had thrown them and her torn slay-suit
lay in one corner. After having dressed in a clean one she had taken one of
Spike's blades and taken off. Where to exactly nobody knew.

Angel was heading for the one place where she knew she could get help from;
the Angel Foundation building. When she arrived, all the lights were on in
the massive tower and the skylight she usually used was wide opened. Waiting
in the landing bay was her father, William Harris. They just stood and
watched each other before William walked up to her and embraced her firmly.
"I'm sorry," he said in a deep voice. William Harris was the
descendant of Alexander Harris whom had founded the Angel Foundation after
he reportedly had a visitation from the Foundations namesake. He was a tall,
dark haired man graying at the temples and bore a striking resemblance to
his great-grandfather.
"Did they find them?" Angel asked in a low voice.
"Come with me," William said and placed a hand on her back and led
her to the elevator.
"I haven't been on that floor," Angel said when her father pressed
his thumb against the control panel and a blue button appeared.
"We built it after the Future takeover five years ago," he said as
the elevator took them down.
"What is it?" Angel asked.
"A emergency teleporter," he answered and Angel's eyes lit up.
The doors opened with a bell chime to reveal a long white corridor. Angel
took her father's hand like a little girl when he led her down it and into a
white medical bay, there were two people lying in medical units, heavily
bandaged, but the holo-monitors peeped regularly.
"We pulled them out just after he started the explosion," William
said in a low voice. "Drusilla is on a blood-supplement drip and should be
fine given time, but Mister Zoëga..." he stopped when Angel silently walked
over to the medical unit and looked down at Z's face behind the glass.
"He's dead isn't he?" Angel asked. "You may be keeping him alive,
but his mind... his presence is gone."
-Now what gave you a silly idea like that Angelica?- a familiar
voice asked from the back of her mind.
-Z?- she asked.
-The one and only- the voice that answered was carefree.
-Where are you?- she asked.
-Here and there, but mostly with you and Dru- he answered.
"Angelica is something wrong?" her father asked her with a worried
look.
"Dad call the SG, bring them here now," Angel said.
"Of course they are entitled to know after all," he said in a low
voice.
"No he's not dead, run a pattern scan on Drusilla and me," she said.
William looked at his daughter for a moment and seeing the spark of hope in
her eyes motioned for the doctor who was watching the patients to come over.
The doctor ran one scan and then the other to verify his findings and then
his eyes went wide and Angel smiled.
"This is unheard of," the young doctor stammered.
"No it's just my boyfriend," Angel said with a smile.

Section 1.6: Secrets

Z was slightly confused when he woke up in his own body and not in heaven,
with his friends and family smiling and waving at him from behind a glass
window. He raised a hand and waved. On the table besides him was forest of
flowers and a balloons saying happy birthday. He smiled to himself. Granted
it had been a gamble but he knew that Angel would eventually have ended up
in the Angel building. So he thought back a few nights, when he had taken
off into the night sky. He had flown to the Angel Foundation building and
met up with William Harris, Angel's father, to discuss the recent changes in
his power levels and, he stopped for moment to search his memory, the moment
when William had placed his hand on his shoulder and told him to go after
his daughter.
"The son of a bitch," he muttered to himself.
"Never could trust daddy," Angel said and Z smiled as he turned
around to regard his now girlfriend, he hoped. "I asked him to stay out of
my love life, but I guess that in some cases he is worse than Hope," she
explained with a grin.
"Thank you," he whispered.
"For what?" Angel asked with a confused look on her face.
"For saving me five years ago. It was you that led the assault on
Future and I saw in your memories a little boy, maybe about twelve years
old," he said with a smile. "How long have I been out?" he then asked,
before Angel got a chance to answer him.
"Not long, you'll make the New Years party," she said with a smile.
Glad that he was giving her an escape route from walking down memory lane.
"But I don't have a date," he said with a grin.
"Oh you'd better not go looking far then," Angel said and bent over
to kiss him and then she heard somebody holler from behind the glass. It was
Buffy and Spike giving thumbs up. She just sighed and Willow turned the
shades. When she came up from the kiss she just smiled.
"What?" the telepath asked.
"Oh like you don't know?" she asked.
"Well I do know, but I don't think I'm fit for that kind of activity
just yet," he answered with a grin that earned him a light punch on the
shoulder.

Dru entered Buffy's office nervously on New Years day, the Slayer sat behind
her desk going through the messages that never seemed to stop. She motioned
for her to sit and then waited awhile before looking up from the letter she
was composing, with a pen and paper no less.
"You wanted to see my Elisabeth?" Dru asked in her cold business
like voice.
"Yes," Buffy said as she leveled her gaze on the vampire. "Christina
Rex has already signed on as a full-time member of the team, pending the
completion of her training," she said.
"That's good, one less reporter," Dru said with a small smile.
"Which brings us to you," Buffy said. " Now I would really hate to
stake you and you are harboring a nasty little secret aren't you?"
"How did you know?" Dru asked without blinking.
"Well your last attempt was half-hearted at best so lets just leave
it at that shall we," Buffy said with a smile.
"What's the price of your silence," Dru asked very businesslike and
Buffy slid a folder across the table.
"That's a contract. Sign that and we will clear your name and make
you disappear, Future-2 is still out there and they want you dead. Badly,"
Buffy explained.
"And the catch?" Dru asked opening the folder and reading the
contract over.
"You join the team and go on the blood supplement and agree never to
take another human life other than in the service of the team," Buffy said.
"Can I get a pen?" Dru asked with a smile.
"Of course," Buffy said and slid a fountain pen over the table.
Drusilla signed the contract with a flourish, then closed the folder stood
and slid it back over the table. Buffy stood and offered the vampire her
hand.
"Welcome to the SG-Force, Drusilla Giles," Buffy said and Dru just
nodded and left.
"Aren't you being a tad lenient with her?" Willow asked as she
stepped in from the side room and took up a perch on the corner of the desk.
"Well we can't stake her and I'd rather have a level five telepath
and seer on our side than against us," Buffy said as she regarded her
girlfriend with a warm smile gracing her lips. "You did great you know," she
said.
Willow turned to face her and when she saw the radiant smile that Buffy was
giving her she decided that her little secret could wait another day. For
now she was happy and there was no need to spoil it. So she just nodded and
grinned.
"I know, but remember it was you who taught me how," she said.
"Now onto more important matters," Buffy said with a smile. "Last
time I checked we still have two single team members," she explained.

...It was quite an adventure I must admit, the thrill of dressing up in a
cape and dispensing justice to those who sought to harm the innocent. That's
why this will be my last report for the Star. I have found a higher calling,
not that reporting the truth isn't an honorable profession mind you. But I
feel that I'm needed here, fighting the good fight.
All the members of SG-FORCE have made a full recovery, even Stefan Zoëga who
was presumed dead after supposedly giving his life to prevent a dimensional
rift from opening. Which just goes to prove that heroes are hard to kill.
Still the Future-2 group is still mostly at large and Demonique De'Light,
the groups leader, escaped from police custody on New Years Eve. Also there
will be a press conference in the New Year to enounce the team's expansions,
so to my collogues I say: "I'll meet you there."
So they... we have our work cut out for us. This is Christina Rex, SG-FORCE
member 008 signing off.
Rex looked up from her computer, took off her image glasses, folded them,
put them in the top drawer of her desk and closed it with a smile.

I am G.I.L.E.S., a Genetic Isolinear Lifeform Emulating Sphere. I contain
the memories and neural connections of Sir Rupert Giles. I was activated on
the 1st of January 2020. It has been my duty as assigned to me by my maker
to watch over the Rosenberg and Giles bloodlines and to ensure the return of
the Prime Slayer. That is my function and my purpose. Now that I have
completed that task and to my best knowledge ensured her happiness I find
that I'm restless. Still I will continue to watch over those who are in my
care and their descendants. For that is the purpose that is built into me,
thus seeing them all happy makes me feel proud that I have accomplished
something.

I'm so sorry I didn't realize how big the first three were until it was too
late.
