Snippet: The Puppet Show

Strange thoughts rattling in my head... Actually, that's the kooky 
screw. Its no longer loose, its fallen out.

"...in caudex corpore transmutas..." Tara's chant broke off at the 
knock on the door. Being alone and bored she'd decided to cast a 
spell to make some dolls to play with, but the interruption broke her 
train of thought. She opened the door, and was surprised to find a 
glove puppet lying on the doorstep. She peered about, but no-one was 
there. Odd. She picked up the glove puppet and looked at it 
curiously, noting how remarkably like the Slayer the puppet's 
features were. She put her hand into the puppet, and in a flash of 
light the puppet turned back into Buffy. A very shocked Buffy, who 
was still on Tara's hand. Tara's eyes widened to plate-like 
proportions and she fell over backwards. Her hand slipped out of 
Buffy, and at that moment Buffy turned back into a glove puppet.
"!" Tara exclaimed. With great presence of mind and absence of body, 
she dropped Glove Puppet Buffy on the bed, and fled into the hallowed 
corridors of UC Sunnydale to find Willow.

"Hello?" Xander called out as he put his head around the door. 
Strange, no-one there yet the door was unlocked. That wasn't like 
Willow.
"Hey, cool!" He picked up the glove puppet off the bed and tried it 
on. He loved stuff like this, always had. The puppet, once again 
occupied by a human hand, reverted into the Slayer's true form.
"Woah!" Xander jumped backwards, extricating himself from Buffy's 
nether region, and stared in disbelief at the glove puppet on the 
floor. Shock warred with mirth on his face, before he silently let 
himself back out of the dorm.

"Hello?" Willow called out as she entered her dorm. No Tara. yet she 
expected to find the bovine wicca waiting serenely for her. Maybe 
chewing the cud and reading up on love spells. She saw a glove puppet 
on the floor, and with a bemused smile lighting her features, tried 
it on...
