Buffy and Willow placed the extra magazines for the uzi or imgram 
in the outer pockets of their coats.Buffy looked at the uzi and she 
said how the hell am i going to carry this around while keeping it 
concealed.Willow said maybe you should keep it in the briefcase.Buffy 
said no i want to have it where i can fire it if i need to.Willow 
said well then stick the clip of the magazine into a pants pocket 
that way you could be able to fire from the hip if neccessary.Buffy 
said thats an idea and then they climbed out of the humvee.Buffy got 
the briefcase which contained the combat shotguns before locking and 
shutting the driver's side door.Willow walked around the humvee and 
over to Buffy and then said are you ready to start the patrol.Buffy 
said yes i am are you and Willow said yes i am.

Willow and Buffy walked out of the warehouse and Willow said which 
direction do you want to start the patrol in.Buffy was about to 
answer when she heard a cry of pain with her enhanced slayer 
hearing.Buffy said Willow someone is in trouble and she turned her 
head from side to side and then she heard another cry of pain.Buffy 
said its coming from this direction and she started to run in that 
direction.Willow started running after her while yelling Buffy wait 
up.Buffy stopped after running a hundred feet and she listened for 
another cry.Buffy heard another cry of pain and she was about to 
start running again when Willow grabbed a hold of her arm.Willow said 
Buffy it might be a trap lets slow down and take it one step at a 
time.Buffy looked at Willow and she said damn your right it could be 
a trap.Willow said lets arm ourselves with the shotguns in case it is 
a trap.Buffy knelt down and she placed the briefcase on the 
ground.Buffy opened up the briefcase and then she passed Willow one 
of the combat shotguns and a sling filled with various shotgun 
rounds.Buffy got the other shotgun and the sling shotgun shells and 
she dropped the sling into the outside coat pocket that was 
empty.Buffy closed the briefcase and then she said come on i think 
its coming from that alley up ahead.

As they were approaching the alley Buffy placed the briefcase 
against the wall and she said get ready Willow.Willow said dont worry 
i am.They reached the begining of the alley about twenty seconds 
later and Buffy said Willow you cover the right side and I will cover 
the left side.Buffy counted down from five and at one they both 
walked in front of the alley and they looked down the alley but didnt 
see anyone or anything moving around.Buffy said lets take it slow and 
Willow said ok but i wish we had a pair of nightvision goggles with 
us.Buffy said so do i and it might be a good idea for us to start 
carrying two of them with us when we go on patrol.

Buffy and Willow were halfway down the alley when both Willow and 
Buffy heard a cry and Willow said Buffy it came from the right 
side.Buffy said keep alert it still might be a trap.They continued on 
down to the alley for about fifteen feet when Willow saw someone 
lying on the ground right next to the right alley's wall.Willow said 
Buffy someone is over here.Buffy said check the person out i will 
keep watch.Willow walked over to the person and she saw it was a 
woman when she turned her over on her side.Willow said its a woman 
and she is badly beaten up.Buffy walked over to Willow and she 
glanced down at the woman for a second.Buffy sensed that the woman 
was a vampire but she was kindred like Xena and Gabrielle.Buffy said 
Willow she is a Kindred vampire.Willow looked at Buffy and said what 
could do this to a kindred vampire and Buffy said i dont know but i 
damn well want to find out.Buffy said Willow call Cassandra's house 
and see if Xena and Gabrielle know of anyplace we can take her 
because Willie's bar is definitely not a kindred hangout.Willow 
pulled out her cellular phone and she dialed the number for 
Cassandra's house.It was Methos who answered the phone and he said 
hello.Willow said sir this is Willow i need to speak to Xena or 
Gabrielle if they are still there.Methos said hold on and then he 
yelled Xena telephone's for you.Xena answered the phone and she said 
hello.Willow said Xena its me Willow and me and Buffy just came upon 
a badly beaten female kindred vampire and were wondering if you know 
of some place we should take her so she could be properly cared 
for.Xena said are you two still in Sunnydale and Willow said of 
course we are.Xena thought a few seconds and she said take her to the 
night rose its a club that Kindred hang out when they are in town and 
its owned by Kindred.Buffy suddenly heard another cry of pain coming 
from further down the alley and she said Willow i dont think that she 
is the only one hurt there is someone else crying out as well.Willow 
hung up the phone and she said Xena says that the night rose club is 
owned by a kindred vampire and thats where we should take her.Buffy 
said lets see if there is anyone else hurt and then we can gather her 
or them and take them to the night rose in the humvee.

Forty feet further down the alley Buffy and Willow came upon three 
more who were all badly beaten up.Willow looked at Buffy for a few 
seconds and then she said are they kindred also.Buffy said yes they 
are and it doesnt look good so we had better get them to the night 
rose as quickly as possible.Buffy and Willow checked the three people 
while the other provided cover.Buffy said lets go get the humvee and 
they headed for the end of the valley.They were almost to the end of 
the alley when over a dozen vampires appeared from out of no 
where.Buffy said who are you guys and what do you want.One of the 
vampires said i want to know why you attacked them like you 
did.Willow said we didnt attack them we just found them like that and 
if you dont mind we are going to get our ride and then take them to 
the night rose.One of the vampires said why would you take them there 
and Willow said because someone we trust told us that it was the 
proper place to take them.
