FIC: Massive Collatoral Damage (1&2/3) Repost

It's been a while since I started this, but I finally finished. So
if you want to see the earlier stuff, here's the first two parts:

Massive collatoral Damage
By Fox

Part 1.

Sunnyvale metroplex was awash with light and colour. The streets
thronged with laughing people admiring each other's outlandish
costumes, as a parade of floats wound its way through the streets.
Huge blimps in the shapes of outlandish cartoon creatures floated
between the towering skyscrapers, lit now and then by streaks of
light that pierced the night sky.

High above the sparkling streets, Buffy leaned over a rooftop balcony
and frowned.

"It's not fair. Why do we have to work on a night like this?"

Behind her, Willow knelt over an open case, assembling a large gun.

"If you have a complaint, tell it to the bozos who choose halloween
as the perfect date to run an apocolypse." She said, without turning.

Buffy walked over to her and watched for a moment as the gun got
bigger. She idly stroked the other girl's abundant red hair. Willow
closed the case and stood, cradling a weapon large enough to do a
fair bit of damage just by blugeoning someone with it. As she ran
through the diagnostic systems to check all was operational, Buffy
ran a finger across the quanity of exposed flesh that was accessable
through the substantial gaps in Willow's battle bikini. Willow,
intent on her task, failed to respond. So Buffy decided to make a
small project of working out how far she would have to go to distract
her.

Willow's hands trembled slightly as she set the calibrations on the
Smith-Hitachi Godzilla bazooka blaster, and turned to surrender
herself to a passionate kiss as Buffy's hand carressed the white
material that almost covered her breasts. Her lips met empty space as
Buffy pulled away to look at a transit flyer glided past.

"Showtime." Said Buffy, whipping out her own blaster. Stubby wings
sprouted from the jetpack on her back as she lifted into the air.

Willow, behind her, pouted.

The flyer's pilot glanced in the rear view screen and noted the two
vapour trails that were homing in on his craft.

"Police?" He wondered, before an explosion rocked the flyer, knocking
it sideways. As he struggled to bring it under control, he felt a
cold metallic weight settle on his shoulder. He glanced back to find
himself looking down a gun barrel the size of his head. It was
smoking slightly.

"can't you end-of-the-world guys ever schedule to not clash with big
party nights?" Said Buffy, at the other end of the weapon.

The pilot bared his fangs.

"If you want to survive," Said Willow, from his other side, "Give it
up without a fight."

"Go to hell!" He said, flooring the accelerator, which knocked the
two girls back with the sudden movement, sending their weapons
flying. "The cult of Grr'k will not be defeated by a pair of little
girls!"

Before Buffy could shake her head to clear the stars out of it, the
vampire leapt over the seat at her. Dodging the blow, she brought her
Smith-Hitachi Godzilla bazooker blaster up and fired at point blank
range, which evaporated the vampire's head, along with a large chunk
of the flight systems situated behind it.

The flyer gracefully fell from the sky as it turned from a flying
machine to a lump of metal and plastic. Willow leapt forward to try
to steer it into a controlled crash in the park, but there did not
appear to be anything left to steer it with.

The ship wore a big groove in the grass, bounced a couple of times,
knocked over the odd tree, and came to rest, smoke pouring from its
hull.

"I just don't believe it!" Said Giles, "You crashed the ship?"

Willow winced at the volume coming through her triangular
communicator earing. "Not really a crash, so much." She protested,"
It was more of a controlled landing."

"We dusted the vampire, so what's the big?"

"Is the cargo intact?"

"Huh?"

"The cargo that you you were supposed to retrieve." Said Giles, icily.

With a little slayer muscle behind it, the twisted metal of the cargo
door crashed open.

"I swear, no one said anything about a cargo to me." Said Willow
apologetically, following Buffy into the back of the flyer.

Buffy swung her torch around, until the beam of light came to rest on
a large ornate coffin shaped box. It was empty.

"That can't be good." Said Buffy.

Part 2.

The two shapely trouble consultants scanned the wrecked cargo hold
until they spotted a gash in the side of the ship. The hole was
easily large enough for a man, or something man-sized to have climbed
through.

"Oh dear." Said Willow.

Climbing through the twisted metal, they dropped to the ground and
looked up, to see the bright lights of the metropolis gleaming down
on them from a short distance ahead.

"Oh, no."

Activating their jet-packs, the two flew off in pursuit.

Back at Slayer Central, Giles was scanning through the vast and badly
indexed database for more detailed information on their quarry.

"er, from the markings on the casket, it appears that this could be a
talgarsh warrior; it's a particularly nasty demon."

Willow almost flew into a tree as the graphic of a nasty skeletal
face appeared on her head up display.

On the city streets, the owner of the face was lurching forward,
pushing through the crowds.

"Apparently," Said Giles, "The Talgarsh Warriors would take on a
human guise and explore the territory until the moon rises. At this
point they take on their full demonic aspect and generally, er, run
amuck."

Willow was a little better prepared when the second graphic appeared
in front of her. It was an old drawing of something that vaguely
resembled the first picture, but it seemed to have a lot more spiky
bits.

"This was the only recorded picture I could find of the full demonic
aspect. Generally speaking, there doesn't seem to have been anyone
around to record it once it gains its full aspect."

"Satellite scans place it currently at Rodin Street."

"let's wrap this up quick." Said Buffy, bringing up her Smith-Hitachi
Godzilla Bazooker blaster. "then we can go party!"

"It IS a holiday, after all." Willow nodded.

"Er," Giles stuttered, "You should be aware that moonrise is due in a
little over one hour. Sixty three minutes, to be exact."

"ONE HOUR?!?" The two girls cried in unison.

"It is vital that you destroy the creature before this occurs; I
cannot stress this enough."

Giles found he was talking to dead air.

"Buffy! Willow! What are those two doing?"

Behind him, the door opened.

"Oh, you're still working?" Said Anya.

"Yes. A little longer." Sighed Giles. "Did you need something?"

"I thought we might have a little get together to celebrate
halloween." She said. "It's traditional, apparently."

Behind her, Giles could see Xander wearing a party hat. Xander
grinned at him.

"Who said this would be an easy job?" Said Buffy, pushing through the
crowd of people clad in weird halloween costumes.

"Did I say that?" Willow pouted.

"How are we even going to spot Evil Monster guy among this lot?"
Buffy sighed.

"Well we better make it soon. Thirty four minutes to moonrise."

Buffy activated her jets and zoomed over the crowd, which had the
useful effect of causing them all to dive for cover. This left only
one shambling creature standing. The Talgarsh Warrior looked around,
and in an attempt to blend in, knelt down.

"Stop right there, you evil monster, you." Shouted Willow, aiming her
blaster at the kneeling demon.

The creature looked at her. Then it was hurled to the ground as a
large blast took off the back of it's head.

"What are you doing, stopping to chat with it?" Demanded Buffy, her
blaster smoking slightly.

The demon stood up and turned to look at Buffy, its eyes glowing red.

"Don't give me that creepy look." She said, preparing to fire again.

The demon turned to look at Willow.

"I didn't do anything! It was her!" She said.

The monster tensed. Then ran off at high speed, losing itself in the
crowd.

"Oh dear." Said Willow.
