OT: G'day! I'm still alive!

Hello one and all,

For all of those lucky people who have forgotten, it is I, Tony McD (yes, the 
idiot who left everyone hanging with Destiny's End).

I can't say that I'm having a great time or wishing you were here with me, 
because I ain't and I don't. Where am I? Let's just say you should be 
thankful you aren't here, it is decidedly... unpleasant. And hot.

Good news, I'm not dead (came close a few too many times though) and am 
happily working on Destiny's End in my spare moments (big question is should 
I have a "happy ever after" type ending or a "The Gift" type ending? Please 
tell me which type of ending you want).

My brother Mike has been sorting through my emails and tells me I've got 311 
stories to read so far so it looks like I could be up for over a thousand 
when I get back (I belong to a few groups. What can I say? I like Buffy).

Big news from me is that this is my last deployment. That's right, after 
this, my "Last Crusade", I'm hanging up my uniform and joining civvy street 
like all the other sensible people. What will I do? I'm not sure. I could 
join the intelligence services but I'm not too sure I want to any more. 
Teaching is looking good at the moment and so is (don't laugh) becoming a 
librarian (OK, laugh. I like books but I refuse to wear tweed). What ever I 
decide to do, I want to be able to have a reasonably normal life.

Anyway, enough about me. How are you guys? Anything exciting happening? Has 
Buffy started in the US yet? Any idea how Joss is going to raise Buffy? Will 
Xander and Anya get married? (I bloody well hope not! You may as well dump 
him from the show because it'll kill his character and ruin the Scooby Gang 
[sorry, got a little rant-y there]).

Well, all my love and please write back, Mike will pass them on to me.
