Several seconds after Xander flipped the last of the switches the 
hovercraft's weaponry popped out of their hidden storage compartments 
and a metal visor slid down in front of the windows to protect the 
people inside the hovercraft.Nick removed his hand from lever which 
controlled how fast the hovercraft went and he turned around and said 
which of you guys lowered a shield over the window.Nick said how do 
you guys expect me to pilot this hovercraft if i cant see where we 
are going.Anya said Nick the shield always covers the windows when 
the weapons are raised out of their storage compartments.Giles said 
Nick according to this pamplet for this consol you are supposed to 
use a visor helmet to be able to see where you are piloting the 
hovercraft when the weapons are out.Nick said oh so thats what the 
helmet visor is for and he pulled it out from under the consol and he 
put it on.Nick said i dont see anything and Amy said you need to plug 
the cord from the helmet into the consol.Giles said i will do it and 
he took hold of the end fo the cord and plugged it into the 
consol.The next second Nick could see a virtual image of the area 
outside of the hovercraft for hundreds of yards.Nick said i can see 
outside the hovercraft perfectly but how am i supposed to see both 
outside and inside the hovercraft which is neccessary if i am going 
to work this consol's controls.Buffy said Nick you can switch back 
and forth by speaking verbal commands into the microphone right near 
your mouth.

Nick said give me a visual of the cabin and an image of the cabin 
and everyone in it appeared on the screen of the visor helmet he 
wearing.Nick said Joyce are you ready to fire the laser and Joyce 
said i will be as soon as Willow deactivates the powerlock on the 
laser.Nick said Willow please do that and Willow said doing it right 
now.Nick looked at Xander and Nick Wolfe who were both carrying the 
law 80 rocket launchers and several other rocket shells.Giles said 
Nick according to this pamplet you can see both whats going on 
outside the hovercraft and the inside of the hovercraft as well.Nick 
said how do i do that and Giles said just say double screen and Nick 
did just that.Nick said oh yeah this is a lot better.Nick said i am 
going to move the hovercraft into a position from where we can take 
out the lighthouse and then the pier as quickly as possible.Nick 
pushed the lever forward and the hovercraft moved toward Alcatraz but 
Nick turned it to an angle so to stay about a half mile from Alcatraz 
until he had found a good position from which the dock and lighthouse 
could be taken out from.Nick looked at Amy and Tara and he said tell 
me when we are coming up on the lighthouse and the pier.Tara said 
actually we just passed by both of them about a minute ago.Nick 
turned the hovercraft around and headed back the way they had 
came.Twenty seconds later Tara said Nick we are aproaching a place 
where we can line up on the pier.Amy said we can also line up on the 
lighthouse in about five seconds.Nick immedietly pulled the speed 
lever toward him and he moved it to idling when Amy and Tara said 
they were where they could line up on the two targets.

Nick turned the hovercraft toward the island and he said Xander you 
and Nick go out on the bow and get ready to fire the rockets at the 
pier as soon as Joyce fires the laser at the lighthouse.Xander and 
Nick said ok and they headed for the door that led to the outside of 
the hovercraft.

A minute later Nick said go ahead and fire Joyce and Joyce said 
ok.Joyce took one more look to make sure she had the laser aimed 
right at the lighthouse and then she pressed the firing button.Two 
seconds later on the deck of the hovercraft Nick and Xander hit the 
deck when the laser fired because although they had been expecting 
the laser to be fired they hadnt known how big or powerfull the laser 
blast would be.Xander quickly stood back up picking up his law 80 
rocket launcher.Xander quickly aimed toward at the pier which he was 
able to see through the fog because of the nightvision visor he was 
wearing.Xander said hey Nick are you ready to fire and Nick said yes 
lets fire on the count of three and he started to count from one up 
to three.On three they both fired the law 80 rockets launchers and 
then quickly reloaded the launchers and fired again.

The vampires in the lighthouse had barely a split second from the 
time they saw a flash of light coming out of the fog before the 
lighthouse was hit dead center by the laser blast and it was cut in 
half.The top of the lighthouse lurched and then toppled over falling 
toward the ground and the vampires screamed in terror.

Aboard the hovercraft Nick said Joyce i want you to fire the laser 
two more times once at the bottom of the lighthouse thats still 
standing and the second one at the part of the lighthouse which fell 
down to the ground after it got hit.Joyce said ok and then she aimed 
the laser at the bottom section of the lighthouse and fired the laser 
again.After firing the second blast Joyce aimed again and fired at 
the top of the lighthouse which had hit the ground.

The four rockets that Xander and Nick had fired hit the pier in 
different areas of the pier but together they started a fire and made 
the pier completely collapse into the water.The vampires on the pier 
either were killed by wooden shrappnel,by the fire,or were pinned 
under the water by the very buildings they had been hiding in or the 
pier itself.

Nick moved the hovercraft closer to the island until it was about a 
thousand yards from the shore and then he said go ahead and start 
firing as soon as you see any of the groups of vampires.Faith yelled 
yahoo because she was in the gunchair that was facing the 
island.Faith took hold of two different joysticks which controlled 
two of the different types of guns on the side of the hovercraft and 
she opened fire on the vampires as soon as she could see them.

Spike was walking back and forth in the old guards room which he and 
the other vampires were using as the base of operations when Darla 
said Spike sit down and relax we should be hearing something from one 
of the groups around the shore anytime now.Drusilla said Spike come 
sit with me and Spike walked over to her and sat down on the old sofa 
next to her.Less than thirty seconds after Spike sat down he jumped 
right back up after feeling the ground shake.Spike yelled what the 
hell was that and Darla said i dont know but i am definitely going to 
find out.Darla grabbed the old military radio and she said any groups 
that know what just happened report in immedietly.A second later the 
leader of the group of the vampires that was closest to both the 
lighthouse and the pier got on the radio and let Darla know who he 
was and what group he was with.Darla said Yuri what the hell made the 
ground shake like that.Yuri said i have some bad news for you and the 
others Mistress.Darla said just tell us what happened or i will come 
out there,rip out your entrails,and then dance on them with three 
inch high heeled shoes.Yuri said the lighthouse was hit by three 
blasts of something which destroyed it completely and the pier was 
also destroyed but i dont know by what.Darla yelled what and then 
Spike grabbed the radio from her and said how many of the vampires 
that were on the pier and lighthouse survived the attacks.Yuri said 
none of the vampires in the lighthouse could have survived the three 
blasts from whatever it was and i havent seen any vampires coming out 
of the water near where the pier had been.The next second Yuri was 
interrupted by another vampire who yelled this is group 4 we are 
under heavy attack from a boat or some other kind of vechicle thats 
somewhere out on the water but covered by the fog.Spike was about to 
throw the radio toward the wall in a combination of anger and disgust 
but Crimson grabbed a hold of his arm and stopped him from doing 
it.Crimson said give me that and she took the radio away from 
him.Crimson pressed the button and she said group 5 i want you guys 
to get into the boats you came out in and go find them.The leader of 
the fifth group said Crimson how are we supposed to find them in that 
fog we could go right past them and not know it unless they opened up 
on us.Crimson said go slowly and keep your eyes and ears alert and 
you should be able to find them.The leader said yes mistress and then 
Crimson put the radio down on the table.Catherine Madison said do you 
think it is a good idea to send one of the groups out into the fog in 
boats like that.Crimson said no its not really a good idea but i dont 
see where we have any other choice.Darla was over looking at a map of 
Alcatraz island as it is today and she said Crimson 
you,Dragonness,and Spike come over here i believe i have an idea of 
what they are up to.The next second the leader of another group of 
vampires that was near the shore reported in over the radio saying 
that his group was under attack and he had lost at least half of his 
group in the first minute of the attack.Spike winced upon hearing 
this and he grabbed the radio and ordered all the remaning groups of 
vampires to back away from shore until they were under cover or out 
of the range of the guns the slayer's group was using.Spike put the 
radio down and then he joined Darla,Crimson,and Dragonness over in 
front of the map of the island.Spike said Crimson what do you think 
they could be up to.Crimson said i believe they are presently just 
trying to thin the number of vampires down so that it will be safer 
for them to approach shore.Darla said i have to agree with Crimson 
because i believe i know what they are up to.The Dragonness said what 
do you think they are up to.Darla said i think they are encircling 
the island to thin down our numbers but once they have done that they 
will be heading somewhere along here and she pointed at the area 
around where the lighthouse and pier had been.Crimson said of course 
they would need to take out the lighthouse and pier if they were 
going to land around there.Spike said yes but what i want to know is 
how the hell they knew that we had vampires on the pier and in the 
lighthouse because they wouldnt have destroyed them otherwise.Crimson 
said as much as i hate to say it he is right.The Dragonness said that 
means we have a spy in our camp and Drusilla said no we dont the red 
tree used a computer to find out where our groups were.Spike said how 
could a computer tell Willow where our groups were.Drusilla said they 
told her and she pointed straight up at the stars through the window 
she was looking out.The dragonness said dont tell us the stars told 
her where our groups were and Drusilla said no a satelite did.Spike 
said huh and Crimson said damn why didnt i think of it.Darla said 
Crimson what is it.Crimson said the Willow of this dimension used a 
satelite to somehow pinpoint where our groups are.Darla said if she 
did that she could also know where we have the captives at so i 
suggest we move them.Crimson said no we should keep them right where 
they are at so we can lead them into the trap we have set up for 
them.Spike said yes but we need to send some vampires over to the 
area around where the lighthouse and the pier was to give them a nice 
warm welcome.Darla walked over to the radio and she said group 1 and 
3 i want you to head immedietly right over to the area around where 
the pier and lighthouse used to be we believe that might be there 
intended landing point.Spike said Darla have group 2 move along 
behind them to give them backup and have the other remaining groups 
regroup somewhere.Crimson said no dont have all the remaining groups 
meet altogether in one place its too risky to do that.The Dragonness 
said why do you say it is too risky Crimson.Crimson said because they 
could all be taken out at once if the slayer's group has anything 
that can do it.Drusilla said no the slayer's group doesnt have 
anything that powerfull and the dragonness cut Drusilla off before 
she could say anymore.The Dragonness said i agree with Spike so lets 
get the other groups who arent in the boats or are heading toward 
where the pier and lighthoue were together in one place.Darla said i 
suggest we compromise because i am sort of agreement with Crimson but 
we will not get anywhere if we cant decide what to do.Spike said what 
do you suggest.Darla said we have half the groups get together in one 
place but we keep the rest of the groups move closer to the prison so 
we cant be surprised easily.

The fifth group of vampires climbed aboard the ten boats they had 
used to get to Alcatraz in last night.Once the boats were away from 
shore the leader of the group had the vampires position the boats in 
a line out from the shore with each boat a few feet from the other.

The hovercraft was on the other side of the island when the sonar 
screen picked up the ten boats leaving the shore.Tara said Nick it 
looks like they got impatient for us to come onto shore and sent some 
vampires out to greet us in ten small boats.Nick said where are they 
and Tara said they are on the other side of the island.Nick thought a 
second and then he said Giles we only have eight torpedoes right and 
Giles said yes thats all we have.Nick said we cant take out the ten 
boats with only eight torpedoes.Tara said sir we could use two 
torpedoes to take out the two boats in the middle of the line that 
they are forming up in and we could use the guns on the sides of the 
hovercraft to take care of the rest.Nick said thats good thinking 
Tara and i believe thats exactly what we will do.Faith smiled and she 
said oh this is going to just like a turkey shoot at a carnival.Nick 
Wolfe said it sure is and he laughed.The next second Cordelia said 
hey guys according to what i just heard over the radio Spike and the 
others are sending two groups to the area around where the lighthouse 
and pier used to be with a third group to provide backup if they need 
it.Nick laughed and he said our plan is working perfectly.Nick looked 
over at Cassandra and said please call Xena and give her the good 
news and Cassandra said consider it done.Cassandra pulled out her 
phone and she hit the redial button and a second later Gabrielle 
answered.Gabrielle said you dont need to tell us Cassandra we have 
been monitoring their radio communications also and we are getting 
ready to drop two big surprises on them.Cassandra said ok and hung up 
the phone and then she told Nick and the others what Gabrielle had 
said.Willow and the rest of the slayerettes all started laughing and 
after a minute of laughter Nick demanded to know what was so 
funny.Gunn said Willow you ordered them for Xena and the others so 
you tell them.Willow said the two big surprises they are getting 
ready to drop on them are two hades bombs i ordered last night for 
Xena to have aboard their helicopter.Nick looked at Willow and he 
said Hades bombs and Buffy said yes and boy is there going to be one 
hell of a bonfire in a few minutes.Nick said hey do any of you have 
any idea of the damage just one hades bomb can do much less two of 
them.Giles said no we dont but i dont see where we have any choice 
but to use them since we are facing so many vampires.Faith said they 
are right Nick and anyway we already did quite a bit of damage by 
destroying the lighthouse and blowing up the pier so what does a 
little more matter.Nick said it wont be a little bit more if two 
hades bombs are used it will be a lot more damage.Willow said it 
doesnt matter how much damage we do here as long as we dont do it 
around the hostages they are whats important not some old prison 
which has been turned into a tourist attraction.

Xena waited about ten more minutes until group 1 and group three 
were close together with group 2 about a hundred yards behind the two 
groups before make a run at them.Xena said are they ready and Ephiny 
said ready and waiting for you to tell us to drop them.Xena said ok 
we are making our run and six seconds later Xena yelled release and 
Ephiny flipped the release switch.The two hades bombs fell from the 
undercarriage of the helicopter and twenty seconds later they hit the 
ground about forty yards apart just like Xena had planned.

The two hades bombs exploded the second they hit the ground and a 
fireball sixty feet high and over five hundred yards wide engulfed 
both group 1 and 3 since they were dropped in the middle of 
them.Group 2 was completely wiped out as the fireball spread out.

Back at the prison Spike and the others were sitting down discussing 
the tortures they would inflict on the slayer and her group after 
they were captured when they all felt the ground shake again and 
heard a loud boom several seconds later.Spike jumped to his feet 
heading over to where the radio was and he yelled what the hell did 
they do now as he approached the radio.Spike picked up the radio and 
he said someone give me a report on what just happened.The leader of 
group 5 said master from what i can see out on the water it looks 
like something exploded in the area that the lighthouse and pier used 
to be.Spike said how can you see that if you are on the water and in 
the fog.The leader said master i see it because there is a huge 
fireball around there and we are approaching that area now.Spike said 
leaders of group 1,2,and 3 report in immedietly or i am going to 
practice staking you three out with iron stakes just like i did in 
the old days.There was no response and Drusilla said Spike they cant 
answer you they are all gone.Darla and the others looked at Drusilla 
and Spike said Dru you cant mean that the slayer's group came ashore 
and wiped out a hundred and fifty vampires like that.Drusilla said no 
they didnt.Crimson said what do you mean Drusilla.Drusilla said the 
slayer's group hasnt come ashore yet and it wasnt them who destroyed 
the three groups of vampires it was those who are flying around the 
island.Crimson said Dru can you tell us how they destroyed groups 
1,2,and 3 like that.Drusilla said the stars tell me they used hades 
bombs.Catherine Madison said how the hell did they get hold of a 
hades bomb.Drusilla said they bought the two of them from someone but 
the stars wont tell me who it is.Spike said Dru princess do they have 
anymore hades bombs.Drusilla said no those were the only two.The next 
second there was another explosion and this one was a lot closer to 
the prison than the others.Spike looked at Dru and he said i thought 
you told me that they didnt have anymore bombs.Dru said no i told you 
they only had two hades bombs which they had used on groups 1,2,and 
3.Crimson said then what made that explosion.Drusilla said oh that 
was the cluster bomb which just took out group 7 before it could 
reach the prison.Spike,Darla,Crimson,and Dragonness all screamed in 
frustration but Crimson quickly got herself under control.Crimson 
headed for the radio and she said i am calling all the remaining 
groups back into the prison because it isnt safe outside it.Spike 
started to object but Darla said she is right because neither the 
slayer's group or those helping her will drop bombs on the prison or 
use whatever they used to take out the lighthouse and pier since this 
is where they know we have the captives.Spike said ok go ahead and 
tell them to get back here damn quick.
