Eternal Slayer (4/?)
By MacBeth

Dear New Diary, (Your new because Willow has my old one.) I've
just finished unpacking, considering I couldn't take much to begin
with it was a pretty fast job. I didn't want to raise suspicion with
the Scoobs. Morgan has been a real big help. I keep telling her I
don't want to intrude, but she just brushes off my protests.
(Truthfully? I think she's lonely.)
We've got this way cool four story Brownstone with a
bookstore/cafe in the basement. First floor is the kitchen, living
room, and the game room, while the second floor is divided by the
Library, and the Gym. I've got the third floor to myself, while
Morgan claimed the fourth. What's cool, is that behind the
Grandfather clock in the hall is a passageway straight out of Batman.
It leads to the kitchen of the Cafe' which could be useful for
Midnight Coffee cravings.
Morgan believes I should continue Slaying. Damn, and I thought I
could quit post mortem. There are alot of Vamps here. Two street
gangs of them, even some demons on the police force, and I keep
feeling an Immortal around in Brooklyn.
God I miss Wills. I want to tell her, let her know that I'm still
here. I should have. I remember sitting in Morgan's rental, parked in
front of Gile's Store. Morgan went in to buy the "Dagger of Helios"
(why she would want it is beyond me, the balance is WAY off.though
she said it's a key or something.)Suddenly I could almost ffel time
stop, and two options formed in my noggin.
1, tell the scoobs, and have them be freaked by an even wierder
change of events, They'd live in fear from vengeful Immortals, slowly
watch as they resent my youthfulness as they age, and worst of all,
watch Willow die of old age(that's how she will die, I won't let
anything else happen!)
2, leave. let them lead their own lives, and stop fighting the
evil. Without my funky destiny, they won't feel obligated to stay
behind. I won't be there to cling to them.
So, I sat there, and waited for an excited Morgan to leave Giles'
shop with what she flew three thousand miles for, and drive us both
to a hotel.
Damn, I've gotta go, I'm meeting Morgan for coffee at Grand
Central Station in ten minutes.
Ciao,
B.

Buffy closed her diary and slid it onto her bookshelf between her
highschool yearbook, and a copy of "Vampires for Dummies". grabbed
her keys, and walked to the lift. as she waited for the lift to take
her down to the ground floor, her thoughts filled with red hair,
green eyes, and soft freckles.
The light "Thud" of the lift anounced her arrival. On her way to
the door, She stooped and pet Iggy, Morgan's Cat, behind the ears,
and grinned at the motorboat purr. After she moved away, she failed
to notice the gleam of intense rage in Iggy's eyes. When he saw the
door close, Iggy stood on his hind legs, gave the Slayer the cat paw
equivalent to the middle finger mumbling "pet this." and wandered
into the kitchen for some coffee.

Buffy made it to Grand Central in record time. Mainly from running
on top of the rush hour traffic. Sensing her Teacher with ease, she
slipped over to the coffe Stand. Settling in across from the tall
redhead, she ordered a Chai latte and grinned to her teacher.
Morgan raised an eyebrow and grinned at her blonde student. Buffy
sighed, "ok, you win, I give, why did you want that damn dagger from
Giles?"
Morgan laughed a little and locked eyes with the slayer. "three
thousand years ago, in the Amazon territories of Greece, a tomb was
looted. Simple, straight forward Warlord's tomb. but Legend has it,
that the only treasure taken was Ambrosia." Morgan finished, sipping
her tea slowly.
Buffy rolled her hand forward, "Anndd...?"
Morgan rolled her eyes. "And, there has to be more treasure, the
scroll said that the only thing taken was the ambrosia. I want to
know if there is more treasure. The Dagger of Helios was the original
key, It probably still is."
"Right, and you're going to find the treasure?" Buffy asked.
"No, WE are." morgan said with a grin.
"Do I look like one of the little rascals?"
"You sorta resemble Spot, yes."
"Bitch."

Across the terminal a harried looking redhead was trying to buy a
newspaper. Having just gotten back form her flight to seattle, Willow
Rosenberg was tired, hungry and lonely. Sitting at a bench to read
her paper, she looked around the terminal at the general rush of
people moving about, When she spotted a familiar blonde head over at
the coffee stand. "Great, more hallucinations. I've gotta get a
grip." she said, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

"Uh, Buffy, That redhead friend of yours? Willow was it?" Morgan
asked, looking over The blonde Slayer's shoulder.
"Morgan, I really don't want to talk about her."
"I don't suppose you want to see her either?"
Buffy sighed, "no, I don't think I could take it."
"Then don't turn around. She's sitting at the News Kiosk. What are
you going to do." The Immortal Redhead couldn't help but smile.
Buffy stiffened and glared at Morgan. "That's not funny Morgan.
you know how I feel about her." seeing Morgan point, She turned in
that direction. "I can't believe you would even joke about this...
and you're not joking. And We're gone." Buffy calmly drained half a
cup of hot coffee, grabbed her keys, and quickly walked to the
nearest exit.
Morgan just laughed. "Follow the Buffy shaped blur." Morgan slowly
grabbed her Motorcycle helmet, finished her tea, and headed to the
door. "I wonder if Amanda is in town..."

Willow looked back to see that the table was empty. "I've got to
cut back on the caffiene. Maybe a hot bath would help." Feeling even
more miserable, Willow stood, hailed a cab and went home to cry.
