That very night up at a RCMP station in Orangeville Ontario Canada 
a desk sergeant answered the phone and he said hello.The desk 
sergeant listened to what the man on the other end of the line had to 
say and then he said sir i will send some men up there to go and find 
out whats wrong but its just probably that the telephone lines are 
down someplace.The Desk Sergeant said yes i know that wouldnt explain 
why your boss isnt answering her cellular phone but i am afraid to 
say that cellular phones arent no good in the mountains around the 
ski resort she is at.The desk sergeant asked for the man's name and 
how he could be contacted.After writing down the information the desk 
sergeant told the man he would make sure he was notified the moment 
they found out was wrong.After hanging up the phone the desk Sergeant 
called two constables who had recently come on duty over to him.

When the two constables walked up to the Desk Sergeant's desk he 
said i need you two to go up to the Loretto ski resort and find out 
if anything is wrong.One of the constables said why do we need to go 
up there.The desk sergeant i got a call from an assistant of some 
lady executive who is supposed to be up there and he says he called 
the number for the ski resort for over four hours without getting a 
single answer.One of the constables said i bet the phone lines are 
down somewhere.The desk sergeant said thats quite possible but this 
lady executive also had a cellular phone and he hasnt been able to 
reach her on it either and thats why i am sending you two up 
there.One of the constables said hey can we take some backup with us 
just in case something like what happened at the camp ground in 
Prince Albert's national Park last year.The desk sergeant said we are 
spread thin as you know and there is nothing to lead us to believe 
that what happened at the park last year is anything like what 
happened at the ski resort.The more experienced constable said sir at 
least let us take Craig and his partner with us you dont have nothing 
else for them to do anyway.The desk sergeant looked over to where 
Constable Craig and his canine partner were sitting and he said ok 
take them with you but make sure you take a long range radio pack 
with you because i dont want to send people after you if we dont hear 
from you in a couple hours.One of the constables said we will call in 
every hour and if you dont hear from us at least once every hour 
please send in backup.The desk sergeant said ok i promise i will but 
no jokes do i make myself understood and both constables said yes sir.

Two hours later the landrover the three contables and the canine 
were aboard reached the turnoff to the ski lodge.One of the 
constables said its time we check in with the office and the contable 
in the back got on the radio and reported in.The constable told the 
desk sergeant that they were at the turnoff that led to the ski 
lodge.The desk sergeant said check the phone lines as you go along 
the road and report in if you find them down anywhere.

Ten minutes later the landrover was coming around the turn when the 
constable driving the landrover slammed on brakes after seeing what 
he thought was a tree down in the middle of the road.The constable 
said come on lets get out and see if we can move it.The more 
experienced constable said no lets cut it into sections that will 
make it easier for us to move it.The constables got the two chainsaws 
out of the back of the landrover and headed for what they still 
believed to be a tree.Craig looked over at his canine partner when he 
started barking and then he noticed that it was walking around while 
looking toward the side of the road.Craig yelled guys come over here 
something is spooking Rasso.The two constables knew that if something 
was spooking Rasso something had to be wrong and they walked over to 
Craig while pulling out their flashlights so they could shine them on 
the side of the road and not rely on the headlights of the 
landrover.The three constables shined their flashlights thirty feet 
along each side of Rasso but they didnt see anything.One of the 
Constables said Craig it looks like Rasso is getting senile.Craig 
said no he isnt he just sees or senses something we cant and then he 
gave Rasso the command to lead them to what was bothering him.Rasso 
ran right up to what looked like a tree stump but Craig knew it wasnt 
the second after Rasso moved the snow from around it and his 
flashlight showed him the color of the wood.Craig yelled get on the 
radio and get us some backup out here we got big trouble.The more 
experienced Constable said what are you talking about.Craig said this 
isnt a tree in the middle of the road its a telephone phone and it 
was cut down deliberately.The two constables ran over to Craig and 
after they saw that he was right one of them ran to the landrover and 
immedietly informed the desk sergeant of what they had found.The desk 
sergeant told them to stay where they were he would have backup sent 
to them immedietly.Craig and the other constable immedietly drew 
their sidearms and put themselves back to back covering both sides of 
the road.The third constable climbed out of the landrover with two 
shotguns and a rifle and he ran over to them and passed the weapons 
out to them.

The desk sergeant put the radio speaker down and he yelled Manning 
contact all constables in the field and have them head for the 
Loretto ski resort immedietly.Manning said whats up sir.The desk 
sergeant said its possible that we have a repeat of what happened at 
Prince Albert's National Park last year up at that ski resort.That 
got all the constables in the station jumping they all armed 
themselves with shotguns,rifles,or automatic rifles and put on their 
coats before running out to their vechicles to head up to the ski 
resort without even waiting for orders to do so from the desk 
Seargent.The desk sergeant watch the constables under his command run 
out of the station and then he picked up the phone and dialed the 
number for RCMP station in Brampton because he knew that he might 
need more constables if he was correct and a special forensics team 
as well.

The Captain at Brampton took his call and after listening to what 
the Desk sergeant had to say he told him that he had done everything 
correctly and by the book.The desk sergeant said Captain if it is 
anything like what happened last year we are going to need more 
constables as well as a special forensics team to investigate.The 
captain said your right of course but we will have to wait to find 
out exactly what has happened up there if anything which i pray hasnt 
before i can send anyone.The desk sergeant said sir couldnt you have 
them on standby we should find out what happened by dawn.The Captain 
said i can have the constables on hand thats no problem but i will 
have contact my superiors about a special forensics team gathered 
because i dont have one any more.The desk sergeant said what happened 
to them sir i heard you had one of the best teams in the country.The 
captain said i did until that bomber who was planting bombs around 
Toronto a couple years back blew up the plane that they were on.The 
desk sergeant said sir i will call you the moment i hear anything.The 
captain said good and if it is what i hope it isnt i will airlift you 
as many constables up there via helicopter as i can.

After getting off the phone with the desk sergeant the Captain 
picked up the phone and dialed the phone number for his superiors in 
Toronto because he wasnt about to sit and back and wait to find out 
if it was like the camp ground and then call them when it was hours 
later and much evidence could be lost so easily.

When the phone was answered the Captain said sir i have some 
possible bad news to report.His superior said what is this possible 
bad news.The Captain said we might have a situation up at Loretto Ski 
Resort like at the one at the campground last year at Prince Albert's 
national park.His superior said what leads you to think this and the 
Captain told him everything he knew.The superior said thats awfull 
thin evidence.The Captain said i know it is but can we afford to take 
the risk that its the campground all over again.His superior said no 
we cant and then he said what will you need if it is like the 
campground.The captain said about two dozen experienced constables 
who can travel the land without vechicles and a special forensics 
team to investigate the ski lodge.His superior said your right both 
of those are neccessities and i will start gathering both the 
constables and a special forensics team.The Captain said sir is it ok 
if i make a request for a specific person to be apart of the special 
forensic team.The Captain said who do you want and the Captain said 
Dr.Natalie Lambert as far as i know she is the best forensic expert 
in examining bodies and finding out what happened to them that 
Ontario has.His superior laughed and he said she is the first one i 
was going to contact and i hope she can suggest a couple other 
forensic experts to be apart of the team as well.
