Well..guess it's a matter of perspective.
Black eyes means nothing IMO. Just the usage of magic. No, what 
disturbs me somewhat regarding that photo is the look on her face.
>From where I'm standing that is not the look of a person content with 
who and what she is in regards to the world around her. Rather that 
seems to be more along the lines of the look of someone who is filled 
with estatic realization that she can crush aformentioned reality 
around her like a bug.
Or am I reaching?
