About eleven o'clock Jill and Grace snuck out of the ski lodge to go 
meet Vachon and Urs who were supposed to bring them a case of bottles 
full of blood.Before stepping down off the wooden porch which was 
luckily void of snow they changed into their wolf forms.Jill and 
Grace quietly made their way toward the edge of the woods they were 
supposed to meet Vachon and Urs at a dirt road that led up to a 
river.As they reached the edge of the woods they both caught a 
distant scent of blood off the wind.Jill looked over at Joyce who 
nodded her head and then started to follow the scent.About nine 
minutes later Jill and Grace come upon a small clearing and there 
were seven bodies laying in the center of it.Jill changed back to her 
human form and was about to walk forward to investigate when Grace 
got in front of her.Grace changed to human form and she said before 
we approach the bodies we need to check the perimeter of the 
clearing.Jill said your right and we need to approach the bodies in 
wolf form we dont want to make anyone suspicious when Natalie and the 
others come up here to collect the bodies and investigate the scene.

Jill and Grace changed back to their wolf forms and started checking 
out the perimeter of the clearing using all their wolf senses but 
also using their human brains to take in the information.After they 
had checked the perimeter closely they approached the bodies side by 
side.The wounds on the bodies and the smell eminating from them was 
not pleasant for either of them.Grace took a step closer to one of 
the bodies and she sniffed several times at one of the wounds.Grace 
immedietly raised her head and howled very unhappy about what she had 
found.Grace motioned in a direction with her head and then she headed 
in the direction.Jill followed Grace for several minutes until they 
came upon a rock outcropping and they walked onto it.Grace changed 
back to her human form and Jill did the same a second later.Jill said 
Grace why did you howl like that.Grace said Jill those bodies werent 
attacked just by animals like you might think they were attacked by 
vampire animals.Jill was shocked and she said are you sure.Grace said 
yes i picked up the scent of a canine's saliva in one of the wounds 
and it also was a vampire scent to it.Jill said how can you be sure 
of that.Grace sad all amazons are taught to use their senses to the 
best of their ability including their nose.Jill said you were taught 
to recognize the scent of a canine vampire's saliva.Grace said i was 
once i became arborean we are all are thats partly why we are called 
the hunters by the other clans.Jill said damn if they have a canine 
vampire or demon dog as they were called in previous centuries this 
changes things somewhat.Grace said Jill there isnt just one demon dog 
there is a whole pack.Jill yelled what and then she said what makes 
you think there are a whole pack of them.Grace said Jill each one of 
the bodies were for a different demon dog that means there are seven 
of them.Jill said hold on one demon dog could have fed on one body 
each night they were at the ski resort.Grace said Jill according to 
the information we have they were only at the ski resort for two days 
which would mean there would be two bodies back there.Jill said ok 
but if there are seven of them where are the bodies they fed on the 
other night.Grace said Jill think about the room where the bodies 
were staked to the walls and the wounds they had on them.Jill said 
you mean they staked the people to the walls and cut them up so that 
blood would flow down into bowls or something that the demon dogs 
could feed on.Grace said yes although i hate to say it.Jill said we 
have to contact the elders and the conclaves immedietly and tell them 
about this new bit of news.Grace said yes but we will have to wait 
til we get back to the ski lodge because neither of us have our 
cellular phones with us.Jill said lets hurry up and make the 
rendivous with Vachon and Urs and then head back to the ski 
lodge.Grace said hopefully Natalie will still be awake when we get 
back and Jill said yes otherwise we will just have to wake her up.

About five minutes later Jill and Grace reached the dirt road and 
they found Vachon and Urs waiting for them.Vachon said well you two 
took your sweet time getting here we saw you leave the ski lodge when 
we were flying over it.Jill and Grace changed to human forms and Jill 
said Vachon cut us some slack we found something in the woods that we 
werent expecting.Vachon said what some animals den or something.Urs 
slapped Vachon on the arm and she said dont joke Vachon they are 
completely serious.Vachon looked at them and he said what did you 
find.Jill said we found seven human bodies in a small clearing that 
had been fed off of by demon dogs.Vachon and Urs both looked at them 
in shock and Vachon said but demon dogs were forbidden to created by 
both the Kindred and Nightwalkers centuries ago.Grace said yes but 
the demon vampires never agreed to it.Urs said but only Nightwalkers 
and Kindred knew how to create demon dogs.Grace said that was true 
once but it isnt now because the vampires committing the massacres 
have a fucking pack of them.Vachon said exactly how many and Jill 
said seven of them.Urs said come on Vachon we have to get back to 
Toronto and notify Lacroix and the others about this piece of 
news.Vachon said Urs i can call Lacroix on my cellular phone and he 
pulled it out.Vachon activated the cellular phone but when he tried 
to dial the number he was told he was too far out of range.Vachon 
said come on Urs lets head back for Toronto but keep your eyes peeled 
for a payphone when we hit any small towns or rural areas.

Grace and Jill changed back into Wolf forms and after picking up the 
case of twelve bottles full of blood via the ropes with their mouths 
they headed back to the ski lodge.When they got onto the porch they 
changed back into human form and snuck through the lodge to Jill's 
room.They put the bottles in the small refrigerator and then left 
Jill's room and headed for Natalie's room.Grace saw light shining out 
from under the door to Natalie's bedroom and she opened the door up 
quietly.Natalie felt a slight breeze and she looked toward the door 
and saw Grace and Jill walk into her room.Natalie waited until the 
door was shut and Jill and Grace were a few feet from the bed she was 
in before asking if they had made their pickup.Jill said yes we did 
but we also found something we werent expecting.Grace said Natalie 
there werent sixty people killed here there were sixty seven or maybe 
even more.Natalie said what do you mean.Jill said we came upon seven 
bodies in a small clearing about a half mile from the ski 
resort.Natalie pushed back the bedcovers and started to get up.Jill 
said Natalie what are you doing.Natalie said i am going to get 
dressed and then go to the ski resort and find the sign in book.Grace 
said why and Natalie said the sign in book will show how many people 
were supposed to be at the ski resort at the time of the massacre and 
i can take it to Lieutenant Forrest and tell him that several people 
are unaccounted for.Jill caught on and she said Natalie the bodies in 
the woods have to stay unexamined.Natalie said we have to examine all 
the bodies if we plan to keep the existence a secret.Grace said 
Natalie you dont understand the bodies were not fed on by human 
vampires they were fed on by animal vampires.Natalie said animal 
vampires and then she said you mean like dogs for instance.Jill said 
yes they are dogs but we prefer to call them demon dogs and they were 
forbidden to be made several centuries ago by both Kindred and 
Nightwalkers.Natalie said hold on over a year ago a dog was attacked 
by a caroux i think is what they are called and the dog escaped 
becoming a vampire dog.Jill said what did it feed on its first 
time.Natalie said it attacked a person who attacked its owner she was 
blind.Grace said i heard about that he turned her into a vampire as 
well and they travel together but they live in the woods.Natalie said 
yes that is them.Jill said the elders permitted her and the dog to 
live because he isnt a demon dog.Natalie said whats the different 
from a vampire dog and a demon dog.Jill said a demon dog is fed the 
blood of a vampire for several weeks before being turned and then he 
is fed the blood of a human making them quite feral and extremely 
dangerous.Natalie said ok but why cant they the bodies be found and 
examined.Grace said Natalie there is one big difference between 
vampires and demon dogs.Grace said demon dogs have a combination of 
canine and vampire saliva and it is quite easy to detect.Natalie said 
i guess that this is something for the enforcers to handle and Jill 
said it sure is.Natalie said ok let me call the elders and inform 
them of what you found.

Natalie pulled out the wrist cellular phone and headset out of the 
bedside table drawer and she put them on.Natalie pressed the memory 
and three button and a few seconds later the phone was answered.Elder 
Issac said identify what group you are and what mission you are 
assigned to.Natalie said elders this is Natalie Lambert i am sorry 
about calling you this late but my assistants went to get a couple 
days of nourishment for themselves a little while ago and the found 
something out in the woods.Elder Briac said what did they 
find.Natalie said they found seven human bodies about a half mile 
from the ski resort and according to them they were fed off of by 
demon dogs.Natalie heard several elders yell what and Elder Issac 
said are they sure of this.Natalie looked at Jill and Grace and she 
said they want to know if you are sure they were demon dogs.Grace 
said tell them i am Arborean and i caught the scent on one of the 
wounds.Natalie passed the information onto the elders and none of the 
elders were happy to hear it.Elder Anthony said thank you for 
bringing this information to our attention we shall send a team of 
enforcers to deal with the bodies quickly and cleanly.Natalie said 
thank you elders and Elder Liasse said no Doctor Lamber it is we who 
must thank you and your two assistants.Natalie said goodbye before 
one of the elders hung up the phone.

Elder Liasse said well what are we going to do now.Elder Briac said 
i suggest that we strongly consider the offer to help our enforcers 
by the slayer's group.Elder Konal said i am completely against it we 
have never needed the help from an outside party for our enforcers 
and we shouldnt start now.Elder Issac said i am afraid i must 
disagree with you Elder Konal because this situation must be brought 
under control as soon as possible no matter what.Elder Liasse said i 
suggest we contact the Princess and the bard they supposedly know the 
slayer's group and see what they have to say about them.Elder Issel 
said i agree with Elder Liasse and second her motion.Over the next 
few minutes the other Elders agreed that the Princess and bard should 
be contacted because it was quite hard to gain their trust completely 
and if the slayer's group had it it might make the decision a bit 
easier and get it made sooner.
