Nick and Vachon landed on the fire escape right near a back entrance
to Nick's warehouse apartment.Nick quickly entered the access code 
and then opened the door.Once inside Vachon said Nick you wouldnt 
happen to have something strong around here to drink because i am 
definitely going to need something to get through this.Nick looked at 
Vachon and he said yes i do have several different kinds of liquors 
and now that mention it i am going to need a drink or two myself.Nick 
said what do you like best and Vachon said rum or whiskey it doesnt 
matter to me.Nick said i will be back in a minute and he walked over 
to the corner of the apartment and raised up a pannel in the 
floor.Nick walked down a flight of stairs and into the room he used 
as a wine cellar and he had bottles of whiskey and other drinks down 
there as well.Nick walked over to one rack and after blowing the dust 
off one bottle he looked at the label.Nick took the bottle from the 
rack and after getting one more bottle of whiskey and a bottle of 
bloodwine he headed back upstairs.

Less than thirty seconds after Nick had gone down into the wine 
cellar the elevator rose to the floor that Nick lived on and in it 
was Tracy Vetter.Tracy spotted Vachon instantly and as soon as the 
elevator had stoppped moving she raised the gate and rushed over to 
him.Tracy grabbed a hold of Vachon's shirt and she said Vachon what 
the hell are you doing here.Vachon said i am here waiting for you.
Tracy said Vachon this is Nick's home you have to get out of here 
before he sees you it might jog his memory back and he should be here 
anytime now.Vachon said he is already here he is downstairs.Tracy 
said Vachon you have to leave so get going i will talk to you 
later.Vachon said Tracy i am not going anywhere at least not for a 
while.Tracy said Vachon dont you even dare consider harming Nick i 
wont allow you to do it.Vachon said me harm Nick and then he started 
laughing uncontrolably.Tracy just looked at Vachon not understanding 
why he was laughing or what she could have said that was so funny.

The next moment Nick walked up out through the hidden pannel and he 
said Vachon i dont know what your laughing about but i think you 
should stop before Tracy gets here.The next second Nick heard a heart 
beating and smelled someone living in the room and he whirled around 
and found himself looking at Tracy who was thirty feet from him.Tracy 
was shocked when she heard Nick speak to Vachon in a friendly way.
Tracy looked both at Vachon and Nick before turning back to face 
Vachon.Tracy said you have been hanging out with Nick havent you and 
Vachon said i wouldnt say i've been hanging out with him i just 
frequent places that he goes to as well.Tracy turned to face Nick and 
she said Nick you need to stay away from him its not safe for 
you.Nick said Tracy i am perfectly safe being around Vachon.Tracy 
said Nick no you are not and this has nothing with you being a police 
officer it has to do with Vachon but then she immedietly caught 
herself and stopped before blowing Vachon and the communities's 
secret.Nick said lets all sit down and talk but Tracy said no Vachon 
needs to leave and then we can have our talk.

Nick realized he had no choice and he said Tracy i know that Vachon 
is a vampire and that there is a large community of vampires here in 
Toronto.Tracy whirled around to face him with a look of complete 
shock on her face.Vachon walked up behind her and he manuevered her 
over to the couch and got her to sit down.Tracy quickly regained her 
wits and she said Nick have you lost your mind there is no such 
things as vampires they are only myths and legends and Vachon is most 
definitely not one of them.Vachon said oh yes i am and Tracy whirled 
to face him with a murderous gleam in her eyes.Vachon stepped back 
and Tracy jumped over the sofa and grabbed a hold of his shirt.Tracy 
said you bloody spanish bastard what the hell do you think you are 
doing.Tracy said Vachon i want my partner to be safe so you go over 
to him and make him forget by doing the whammy thing on him.Nick said 
Tracy i am afraid that Vachon is unable to put the whammy on me.Tracy 
turned to face Nick with a look of dread on her face and she said 
your a resister like me huh.Nick said well yes and no.Tracy said Nick 
either you are a resister or your not there is no middle ground.Nick 
said i can be whammied but it requires someone older than Vachon.
Tracy finally realized that Nick had already known about vampires and 
she said Nick how long have you known about vampires and why didnt 
you let me know.Nick said i couldnt Tracy it was the only way i could 
protect you although it is Vachon who is responsible for you if you 
attract the attention of the enforcers.Tracy said Nick you know about 
enforcers.Vachon said Nick i thinks its time and Nick said i think 
your right.Tracy said what are you two talking about.Nick said here 
is a drink and he tossed it to Vachon who caught it right out of the 
air.Nick took a drink from one of the bottles he still had and then 
he set the bottle of bloodwine on top of the counter.

Nick said Tracy the reason i called you to come over here was so i 
could share my secret with you.Tracy said Nick you should have told 
me that you knew about vampires a long time ago.Nick said Tracy i am 
a vampire just like Vachon.Tracy looked at Nick and she said 
what.Nick said Tracy i am over eight hundred years old and my real 
name is Nicholas Debrandt i was a knight in the crusades.Vetter said 
damn you why the hell didnt you ever tell me and then she turned to 
Vachon and she said you knew about him all along and you didnt tell 
me either.Vachon said Tracy we did it to protect you now go over to 
the couch and sit so Nick can explain it to you.Tracy walked over to 
the sofa and she sat back down on it.Nick said Tracy i take it that 
Vachon did tell you somewhat about the code we vampires have to go 
by.Tracy said he mentioned it and told me a few parts of it.Nick said 
well did he mention that we vampires are responsible for those who 
find out our secrets and either have to whammy the memories away,
dispose of them,or watch them closely.Tracy said no he didnt.Vachon 
said after trying to whammy you and finding out that Nick was your 
partner i decided to just watch you closely.Tracy looked at Nick and 
said why didnt you ask Nick to do it he was my partner after all.Nick 
said i was already watching Natalie who had learned my secret when i 
came back while on a table in the morgue.Tracy said Natalie knows 
about you and Nick said yes she has and she has protected that 
information for the last seven years.Vachon said Dr.Lambert has also 
protected the community by covering up vampire attacks.Tracy said she 
covered up vampire attacks.Nick said yes but she always kept me 
informed and the matters were always handled by either me or others 
who i contacted.

Tracy thought of something and she said the massacre up at the ski 
resort.Vachon said yes that was the work of vampires but they arent 
the same type that me and Nick are.Tracy said there are other kinds 
of vampires and Nick said yes but its a group of demon vampires that 
are responsible for the massacres.Tracy said what are you guys going 
to do about them you just cant let them continue massacring people.
Vachon said we are going to hunt them down with the enforcers and 
thats Nick revealed his secret to you.Tracy said i dont understand.
Nick said a group of vampires along with some people are going to 
start hunting the vampires down and we need you to join us.Tracy said 
you want me to help you guys.Vachon said yes you see we vampires cant 
travel durring the day but we still need to continue the search.Nick 
said we have several vans with the back sections sealed off so that 
we and others can ride in them durring the day while still being 
protected.Tracy said you want me to drive one of the vans and Vachon 
said yes but there will be two people in each van.Tracy said will i 
be able to help in the hunt or am i only supposed to drive.Nick said 
you will be working in conjunction with the other people and they 
will be hunting alongside us.Tracy said i will help you in any way i 
can and Nick said ok but the first thing you need to do is put in for 
some time off because you cant do it while on duty.Tracy said 
actually i am already on leave because the captain didnt think i 
would be of much use on my own and he found out that i have about a 
third as much time as you do built up and he ordered me to take some.

Tracy said Nick we had better get this situation under control 
before the goverment has the millitary take over.Vachon said Tracy 
those two men and the one in the military uniform that showed up at 
the station are impostors they are apart of a group that calls 
themselves the watchers council.Tracy said why would they pretend to 
be from the goverment and the millitary and what exactly does this 
watchers council group do.Vachon said they send certain young teenage 
ladies against demon vampires and other supernatural threats such as 
demons.Tracy said your joking and Nick said no he is not and most of 
the young ladies are quickly killed by what they are sent up against.
Tracy stood up and said wait til i get back to the station and get my 
hands on those bastards.Nick said Tracy hold on we already have a 
plan to deal with them and both the goverment and the military should 
have already received anonimyous tips about them.Tracy said whats the 
plan and Vachon said we dont really know thats being handled by some 
of the others we will be working with.
