Re: FF: A New Begining
A very nice continuation of 'There Once Was a Demon'. Buffy's uncertainty
about the bond was well done, and Willow and Tara's gentle persuasion was
very...um...hot <g>.
I don't think I've ever seen Hank Summers portrayed in a (somewhat) positive
light. I expected him to be the usual obnoxious parasite, and it was
refreshing to see him written otherwise.
Dawn's reaction to the bond was cute and hilarious, as was Buffy's 'instant
mom' behavior when she found out Dawn wanted to go out on a date with Kevin.
One quibble. I don't know if it's the way you wrote the story, or the
program you used, but the use and placement of question marks and
exclamation points was a little confusing at times. I sometimes had to go
back and reread the previous lines to place the punctuation in context. For
me, especially with dialog, the punctuation can change the way the line
'sounds' in my head and the image I have of the character as he/she
'speaks'.
All in all, a good read, and it kinda begs for a sequel (hint, hint).
