Hello everyone,

I just had to voice my extreme agony as to what seems
to be developing between Buffy and Spike. In "Life
Serial" Buffy says, "The only person I can stand to be
around is "a neutured vampire who cheats at kitten
poker." Plus, from what I've been hearing about the
musical ep, some sort of kiss is supposed to happen.

I just can't bare the thought it...

I go back to lurk mode now...silently crying...hoping
that something will happen to change the current plot
line...

Okay, Kathy, and all you others who expressed concern regarding a Buffy/Spike relationship.

Let's keep something in mind, people; Buffy's growing relationship with Spike is a symptom of the turmoil she's been going through post-resurrection. Buffy is simply not fully recovered. Yes, it's possible, even likely that Spike's darkest fantasy will come true next month. But hopefully, something will happen(SOON, JOSS! PLEASE!) that will bring Buffy around. In the state she's in now, she's not ready for a long term relationship with anyone, let alone deal with the potential threat of an Evil Willow. She's probably not going to have a long term relationship with our favorite Billy Idol wannabe.  

My only hope is that she is the one to instigate the break-up. As I pointed out in my recent story "Grace", every romance she ever had before has soured on her. Angel left to save her from himself. Parker was a poophead. Scott said she was too weird. Riley---must die soon. Buffy deserves to be the one to dump Spike, not the other way around.

Buffy's going down a dark road right now. Naturally her traveling companion is a dark man. Once the journey is complete, hopefully Buffy will be abetter person, able to handle all she's been through.

And hopefully this will happen soon. If Buffy's going to continue to getmore pathetic for the rest of the season, I'll just be over at CBS watching Jag. At least Harm and Mac may finally be making progress in their relationship!
