> Ro, don't go!

Well, that is catchy : ) Don't worry, I'm not really going anywhere...I
just try to stay clear of subjects that I know will piss me off ....(Hummm,
i think that was one of the reasons why i ended up not going th law way...I
can just see myself attacking the opposite part everytime it disagreed with
me...Good thing i've found a healthier solution...Now if someone disagrees i
just cut them up.... : )...If i keep on thinking about future eps i will
just get even more nervous...Wanna save myself a heart attack...Still, as
much as i'd like to, i don't think i'll be able to distance myself....I
mean, around one hour after i wrote that i went around and read your
post....I know that's cheating, but now i'm oddly glad i did....You said
what was on my mind, and i make mine your words in regards to that
subject....Plus, it's always great to see things from a W/B point of
view....

>
> I like these thoughts of yours. And I completely agree. The show was
> built around four characters

And you'd think they would remember that after Primeval...Was I the only one
that thought that things were gonna change after that ep ? Cause after the
whole lesson on union they gave on that ep, plus the dreams on Restless, i
was lead to believe that they would fix the damage they had done on season
4, but then came season 5 and it was put aside, and now season 6 they do
THIS ? I feel cheated...

(Cordelia was a one-joke and Angel a guest
> star)

And now they are on a different show, different network and are part of a
group of friends that is as tight as the scoobies used to be....How's that
for irony....You know, one of the many arguments i see trying to explain
this distance between the scoobies is based on the whole "you grow up, you
have other things to care about, like love, and family and such, you can't
be as friendly as before" argument, then i go and see this show, and i
can't help but notice how people on this show, a show that Joss himself said
is more about being in a grown up world than Buffy, are coming together over
the seasons....The relationship between them is more important than
anything....It makes me wonder why....If in Buffy growing up is a reason to
part ways , then why in Angel it is a reason to come together...I just don't
get that....Really....

and their connection is the basis for all that's come since. Now
> one's on recurring status,

Well, to me it seems he has been since season 4 .....The only difference is
that it wasn't in the credits....

>one's trapped in a comedy subplot,

As always....at least he has a subplot this season....With Riley,Spike and
Dawn being shoved in our faces all the time ( all eps were Buffy/Riley ,
Buffy/Dawn , Buffy/Spike...okay, not true, there was also a few
Tara/Willow....but that was it) during the past two seasons, it's a wonder
we got any Xander at all....He and Giles seem to have been forgotten by
Joss...Maybe it's because they're not 15 or willing to appear shirtless...I
don't know....

one's
> being made villainous out of creative bankruptcy,

ahhhh, sweet nice Willow....I think I'm gonna take a look at Choices after
this....You know, try to keep up the whole "you see, Buffy does love Willow"
thought alive...

and our star is being
> made to swoon for gosh-ain't-he-cool Spike and

Buffy is letting her friends go in favor of her new boy toy....How
unsurprising....I love that girl, but man is she a selfish little girl...She
lets herself fall, forgets she even has friends and when her boyfriends
decide to break things of she runs off to "those people she knows" for
comfort and for help(cause she needs to clean up the mess)...She has done it
before and will do it again....And the Buffy in love with Spike
thing....well, that was fast....in ep 522 he was aware that she would never
love him and in ep 605 he is the only one she can stand...The only question
is...will he take her on a date before or after he gets into her pants...

be devoted to her beloved
> sister who we never saw and thus don't care about.

You know, while I was clearly unhappy with the amount of Dawn we had to
tolerate during the past season , i never had a real problem with her until
Afterlife....If you compare her behavior towards Willow in Real me or even
the one she had before Buffy was brought back with the one in After
Life...It's sad to see her turn so quickly on someone that has done
everything she could for her....

(Plus, Michelle
> can't act).

Well, i don't think she is that bad...I had a worst time with Amber and Marc
in the earlier eps....Of course, if she was half as good as she thinks she
is....I look at the interviews and keep trying to decide who has the biggest
ego....Her, Sarah or James...

>
> I also find it ironic that the musical ep is being called "Once More
> with Feeling" and it will serve to advance rehashed plots like "Buffy
> Dates a Vampire"

Ain't that the truth...You know, on a side note, i can completely understand
why some B/A fans are downright pissed...It's not
only the fact that she is dating a vampire....Again....It's more because by
having her do so they are cheapening the B/A relationship....The "A vampire
in love with a slayer...." line Giles said back in the first season stops
being special if it happens more than once....I mean, I'm not nor ever was a
B/A fan, nor do I think they should end up together, but I'm the first one
to say they shouldn't show this kind of disrespect toward it...Not to
mention what it does to Angel himself....If Spike , a soul-less vamp, can be
one of the good guys and have a loving relationship with Buffy, then what is
special about Angel, after all , he has a soul, he HAS to be good....he's
not like Spike , who does it because he is so nice and good....And let's not
forget that Angel has said, quite a few times, that even with a soul he
still has to fight the demon...And I don't even need to mention Angel's
second season, do I ? But Spike doesn't have these problems, he doesn't
fight the demon, he isn't tempted (and no, the "sounds like fun" comment
from Bargaining doesn't count)....he loves Buffy , and because of that he
will always be good, you know, unlike that other soul-having vamp we
know.... Crap....

and "Buffy Feels Betrayed by a Friend". Once more is
> once too many for me.

Let's see, season two there was Jenny and Angel, season 3 there was Faith,
season 4 and 5...well, if you want to count there was Spike(i mean, he may
not be a friend, but he was working with Adam) and Riley (who, while not
evil, was lured by dark)...Now they're doing it to Willow...Who's next ?
Xander ? And they want us to think of it as something new, something that
was never done before ? And to make things even worst they are doing the
contrary with Spike, cause he is better than the others....He , unlike the
others, had every reason to be evil, and now is the greatest hero cause he
wants to be nice .... well, what he really wants is to have his way with the
slayer, but if being nice is what it takes him there....

> So put me down as wanting to hear more, not less, from listdad.

Just cause you said that, you will : ) As long as I can hear more from
you....Amidst all this Willow bashing and Buffy / Spike appreciation thing
that has been going around , it's good to know that someone shares our
thoughts....Also, if you have the chance, check Willow's dream in
Restless....I was told that there may be something in there....Not only the
real her part, but the fact that it was Buffy that first saved from the
first slayer and pulled off her clothes...I dunno, i have yet to check, but
since you seem to like the connections :)

Peace man, and remember, denial is more than a state of spirit :)
