Re:: Buffy: The Musical & Philadelphia
Rod,
Thanks for the schedule info. It makes sense that "Killing Chronos"
would be Drew Greenberg's ep, since he hasn't had one yet. Actually,
I'm surprised that Marti has only written one out of nine so far. This
from a woman who once did four weeks out of five. Guess the co-exec.
producer duties really cut into writing time.
Also good news to hear that the musical will be a longer-form show. Of
course, now I'm cursing, since UPN won't be on my satellite until Jan 1,
and I've been viewing with a manual, "rabbit ears", antenna and making
low-grade tapes with the expectation of doing it right once we hit rerun
season. But if all we'll ever get after this is the truncated version,
I'll have to scramble to get an acceptable copy of this by Tues. Hmm,
can I get cable that quickly, without getting slammed on installation
and fees?
As for Philly, every time I visit (Thanksgiving and my birthday,
usually) I rather rue that there aren't more sports on broadcast TV,
since my grandmother will make the Olympic gymnastics team before she'll
get cable. But I admit, it's a heck of a time for channel 57 to show
their one Flyers game of the week. Especially with the "you'll never
see this version again" stipulation.
In sympathy,
Dan
