Re: Question on the Musical
On the musical running 1:10: Yes, there are commercials that make up
the difference between 50 minutes of show and the 1:10 run time, but the
difference between the 1:00 version and the 1:10 version is not just
more commercials. (I don't actually think Quin meant to imply this, but
I thought maybe it needed to be spelled out in detail.) The version in
the rerun, which will air this Friday, will have about 8 minutes cut
from the show.
Joss listed the cuts in a post to BronzeBeta, which someone at
BuffyDownUnder (general shoutout to Spik and all the folks that run a
fine message board, there) put up in a very helpful reposting of all of
Joss's Tuesday posts. Just from my memory, I think he said the short
version would make do without the overture, the "If We're Together" coda
to "I've Got a Theory", Dawn's ballet (not crying about losing that,
myself), a verse of "Walk Through the Fire" and some dialogue here and
there, too.
And that's what we'll see (or not see, rather) on Friday.
