Re: OT: Buffy The Glove Puppet

Now, now?

Well, I got quoted so I guess I better reply. Clearly everyone dess
want you to continue the strip; the (jealousy-inducing) amount of fb
should convince you of that. It's not surprising that people stuck to
praising the strip generally, discussing the puppet and the use of the
three dates--that's what you talked about when you worried it wasn't
being received well, so that's what people sought to reassure you about.
As for character development, I know I could never have come up with the
premise in the first place, so I just enjoy it, rather than try to tell
you what to do. But, since you asked?

A season 6 parallel sounds interesting. How would VW take Buffy's
depresso state? Also you could do more VW-Dawn interaction (set some of
it pre-resurrection, following on that great "Gift" strip of weeks ago).

Or you could do stand-alones, as most of the non-"Gift" strips have
seemed to be. I don't know that this has to be the most
continuity-laden series of all time; the concept is protty AU.

Maybe a flashback? How'd they hook up? How'd everyone deal with Buffy's
rather odd choice? Especially Willow, herself.

Or just a different strip . While you have a lot of fic projects you
could write instead, I've enjoyed the graphic aspect of your
collaboration with Fox and would like to see it continue. If a new
concept doesn't suggest itself, how about just tweaking the eps
themselves? Find one or two scenes an ep and do a joke on it (using VW
or not, as you choose). That should keep you two occupied for years to
come.

(oops, now I've scared her?)

Well, I've got to get to the airport in two hours and this is a lot
longer than the strip itself, so I'll end with a simple "Keep going":
Keep going.

Dan

psst--tell Kris how to download the promo for "Smashed" (this came up
on JAABAW, and I bet you know). Thanks.
