Oh, lord, that was like my second fic. See, I am SO guilty of the whole "page or two at a time" and "no need for a beta". It was a good idea, and my story map is still rather interesting, I'll just never finish it. That's the bad thing about a speculation piece like that, now that I know how it ends, the fire isn't there anymore. So me? I'm guilty of getting discouraged, like we all are. We're only human, when you feel you have nothing to work with, you don't WANT to do it. I've never been as talented as Cilia and Mad Hamlet and countless others who are SO good at creating these worlds that pop out at you and draw you in. I'm character oriented to a fault, and it's really my achilies heel. I focus too much on what makes people tick, and in doing so, I neglect other aspects of my story. But the thing that's been in my head throughout this entire discussion is that if we're really so unsatisfied with the state of the fanfic union lately, let's change it. I know it sounds simple, and almost trite, but we have some amazing authors on this list, too many to name, who simply need the encouragement everyone needs. And we have amazing people who GIVE that encouragment. So, let's be all "example~y", I'm not saying we have to dance on a hill and sing the "sound of music" but everyone's realizing the problem, so let's all work together for a solution! Oh, and as for the original point of this reply, Penance sucked, lol.
