Reminder- Please vote in the weekly theme poll...

Just a quick reminder for those that have yet to vote in the weekly 
fanfic theme poll...I'll be going away on friday for around a week 
and i kind of wanted to have a position from our members before, that 
way we could start trying to come up with our first theme by friday, 
if that is the case...So, if you haven't voted yet, please DO...I 
really think that the lists need a little cheering up right now, and 
i think that would really help...Just click on the links for the poll 
and vote...But remember, only vote once, no voting on both lists...If 
you don/'t feel like going to the website, just send a post to the 
list or to my e-mail and tell us/me what you think...I especially 
would like to hear from a few of our authors, i think that their help 
on this would be crucial to get the ship going... So, go, vote...

ANd for those who are not familiar with the weekly fanfic thing, here 
are a few examples of what i am talking about...These are a few 
things I posted in the begining of the lists, and a sample of how 
things will be like (of course, with a few adaptations) : 



Hiya,

I'm here to talk about that weekly fanfic theme thing idea.I decided 
to go
on with it.If it works i keep it up and if it doesn't i don't.

How it will work:
Every week we have a different theme, like leather, Truth or dae, High
school reunion and things like that, and people write fics based on 
this
theme.It can be short, long,series, pre-relationship, friendship, as 
if they
were already together, anything, as long as it has something to do 
with the
theme.A new theme will come up every tuesday, along with a few 
suggestions
and fic ideas, and during the week themes for the next week are 
sugested,
and voted, and in the end the one with more votes win. I also don't 
think
we should use the survey thing at onelist, since not many people go 
there,so
it will be all done via e-mail.
It may take awhile 'till people get the idea or feel comfortable 
enough to
give it a try, but it would solve the problem of many fans that go 
crazy
looking for fics everyday and people that just need an excuse to 
write.

So let's give it a try.Since this is the first time we're going to do 
this i
decided to give a little more time.So his time the theme-thing will 
start
saturday morning, november 20 and it'll go on 'til december 7.I'm 
sending
another post witha few suggestions for this first theme, but feel 
free to
add yours and vote.Since this first week is not very conventional, the
theme-choice will only go on 'til friday(tomorrow) night.

Well, here we are, our first time : )
Okay, first we are going have to decide what will be our first 
theme.I'm
posting a few suggestions in the end of this mail, but feel free to 
add
yours.Since this is a very unconventional first time we'll only have 
until
tomorrow night, friday, to elect the
theme.You can vote via e-mail.This theme will be valid during the 
period
that goes from Saturday, november 20 , until tuesday, december 07.I 
hope
everybody participates, either voting or writing.


Now, a few theme ideas(i picked a few easy/common ones) 

*Body switch(they change place with each other or somebody else)
*Love spell(someone casts a spell, and it goes wrong... or did it go 
way too
right).
*Spin the bottle/Truth or dare(i don't need to expalin, do i? )
*Jealousy(it may be one of them getting jealous because of a 
boyfriend or
because one is spending too much time with a friend...)
*High school reunion(it's been ten years, they may ahve been with 
each other
or apart the whole time, ...)

Okay, these are only a few suggestions, pick one or add yours.Also, 
you
don't have to do what i sugest, they're only a few ideas to help in 
the big
picture.You can do whatever you want, however you want.

Hey,
About the theme thing.
Okay, we're doing this now.The theme chosen was Body Switch.This 
theme will
go on until december 07, when a new theme will be selected.

How this work:

Every week(except for this first time, because we'll be using two 
weeks) a
different theme will be chosen, and during this period we'll encourage
people to write fics based on this theme(Body Switch, in this case).

During this and the next week the theme will be, as i said earlier, 
Body
Switch.You can write a friendship fic where they bound a little due 
to this
, a relationship fic , a PWP anything you want, as long as it 
involves one
or the two of them switching bodies.The body switch doesn't have to 
be with
each other, if you want Buffy can change body with Oz or Xander , 
Willow
with Angel, Giles, whatever you want.Also, you don't really have to 
explain
the whole switching body process, unless you want to.Everything is up 
to you
guys.

Well, that is it.I'll be posting this notice everyday so the new 
members can
catch on.It's all up to you now.If you're interested but don't think 
others
will like of your work , send it anyway, the response may surprise 
you,
plus, practice leads to perfection : )
