Well, good lady, since I can not copy and paste as others can, let me
just say that there was some true poetry there, especially in the last
scene with Buffy's line about "brighter days", the first lines of
Willow's reply, and Buffy's couplet beginning with "Look to me".

Also intriguing was the concept that Buffy found her "true path" through
something Spike said, not merely by him turning out to be a cautionary
tale. If Buffy could somehow gain wisdom from the current B/S arc
(meaning, wisdom beyond "Don't fuck Spike", important though that is),
it would go a long way towards redeeming what we've sat through, and do
a nice job of reconciling the B/S crowd with the sane portion of Buffy
fandom, IMO.

On the negative, that "heart upon the butcher block" image freaked me
much (although I know that Dru would find it sweet--see "BB&B"). But I
did like the shout-out to "tight embrace".
