Thoughts on "Gone"--PROMO only--Spoilers

Them's the rules, y'know?

First of all, I rewatched the promo, and whoever said that the geeks
thought they had made something other than an invisibility ray, I have
to disagree. The first scene shows them testing the ray on a chair
(and, again, I point out that an invisible chair is just something to
trip over) and exulting in their power due to what they specifically
call an invisibility ray. So I guess they're hooked on making ferns
invisible and don't want to look up that spell Willow talked about in
"Graduation Day, Part 1"

On the larger theme of the ep (besides Sarah needs a week off, so we cut
her down to one day of live shots and a day of voice work), I'm kind of
worried that it'll be along the lines of "Invisible Girl"--my friends
don't want to see my problems, it's like I've been invisible to them.
Which I'd really hate since any distance between Buffy and the gang has
been her doing, not theirs. Plus this is the sort of theme that could
easily be perverted to serve a "B/S is true love" arc, but one hopes
that with David Fury writing (and directing?), there'll be no chance of
that.

Just twelve hours to go. Wait and see (or not see as the case may
be?)
