Ok, I think we?re on the same page. When you wrote:

That was actually the point I was trying to make when
I mentioned the events that people go through before
accepting that they are gay?in some cases of course. 
Everyone handles things differently. You know, it is
hard for me to remember that the character Buffy is
about to turn 21. Buffy has been through so much that
in my mind she much older. Love isn?t the only thing
that makes you do the wacky. Growing into an adult
and letting go of old values and determining new ones
could also make you do the wacky. When I was 21 I did
a lot of silly things to try to convince myself that I
was straight. I guess I can personally see the B/S
ship as a frantic attempt to hold onto to her
heterosexuality. 

Well, I?m getting too personal here so I guess I?ll
stop here. But thanks so much for your insight, Dan.
