Yep, there are rock songs that borrow from classical literature. Just
off the top of my head, I can think of The Doors' "Edge of the Night",
which is actually a poem by William Butler Yeats, and Simon &
Garfunkel's "Richard Cory", which is a poem by Edward (?) Robinson.
Probably lots more.
