OT: adventures of buffy and evil willow- a response
So, I'm a lurker- I've posted a few times with some fics (one of
which I am still trying to finish), but I am a dedicated lurker. That
doesn't mean I like everything that comes through on the list- that
is a lot to ask of anyone. However, I don't get upset when
something I don't like happens in a story or comic I am reading,
because folks, it's not real. It's fiction. Fiction. By definition, not
real. And, in my opinion, not worth getting all bent out of shape
for. So you really like Tara and she gets made fun of a lot in the
comic. So, what? It's a joke. And it's someone's opinion. There
are plenty of things to get upset about in this world, but I'm sorry,
once you start getting all ranty and ravy about ENTERTAINMENT,
that's ridiculous. And really, this was between two people and
didn't really need to be shared with the list. If you don't want to be
here, good for you. I'm sure the rest of us have our opinions
about the various goings-on, the various authors, and the
various fics. But, I've not seen a personal argument make it to
the list until now (but maybe I've just not been reading close
enough).
And, on a related note, I'd like to say that I am also a huge fan of
Tara AND the comic. I appreciate Ann-Elise and Fox's humor-
it's always something to look forward to at the end of the week.
Because it's entertainment. And, if it doesn't entertain you don't
read it.
Also, Faith: if you are going to bring up maturity, then don't bring a
private argument to a public list just to bad mouth the other
person involved. If you want to look at a lack of maturity, I would
suggest you take a good look at your own actions, too.
Now, I've said my peace. I hope to have a new chapter of Half a
World Away up sometime in the next couple of weeks for those
of you who actually read it.
Jenny
