You know it sometimes seems to me that they are just trying to redo Season 4, 
just worse than it already was. I mean the underlying plot of that season 
was the gang growing apart, letting themselves drift apart from outside 
forces. Those outside forces pretty much being their new SO's. 

So what's happening now this season? We have Spike trying to drag Buffy 
farther away from her friends, and Buffy's letting him do it. Just like she 
let Riley rope her into becoming part of the Iniative back in Season 4. And 
we saw how well that worked out.

Sure the logistics are a bit different. The whole heaven issue coming into 
play this season makes it even harder for the gang to reconcile.

One can only hope that something like 'The Yoko Factor' and 'Primevil' is in 
the works for the later episodes this season. I just hope the bond that was 
there at the end of last season, and the chemistry between the actors that 
goes with it, is still there if and when they do fix this.

Ok, I ranted, just trying to jump in on the discussion, and fairly miserably 
and going OT yet again LOL
