The US version was a regular show (about 43.5 minutes of show, with the
ads pushing it to an hour) although they made it a 2-hour special by
running Bargaining, Part 2 right after (with no second running of the
credits, or anything).

If you want to know what's been cut from other eps, check the
transcripts, at http://www.studiesinwords.de/ or
http://www.buffyworld.com and you can see what you've been missing.

But that does sound like an egregious amount of cutting--much worse
than Sky One did in Britain, and that was only for violence. (So, you
got the whole fawn slaughter, but lost Dawn and her science teacher?
Bizarre.)

By all means, get on Seven's case. Maybe they'll be more responsive
than FX (die, FX, die!) has been.
