OT: BtVS Writers

Okay, this is to cover both types of writers: fanfiction and script -
the people who are lucky enough to get paid to manipulate the
characters. It is my contention that several of the script writers enjoy
reading the fanfiction... some of our lurkers may even be one or more of
them. As with any writer, when you read something that completely
captivates you, your subconscious may store it (depends on neurochemical
activity at the time as to the level of how deeply it gets ingrained)
and unknowingly call it forth when writing something of your own.
Believe me, there are times when I read a piece of Fic that has similar
themes to where I was planning to go and start cursing a blue streak,
hoping no one thinks I was "borrowing" some one else's ideas. This may
be why we see ideas we come up with pop up once in awhile on the show.
For example, how wierd do you think it was for me to see an episode
entitled "Intervention" during S5? So, that's my theory.









Either that, or the bastards rip us off, knowing we can't take any legal
action. Hoping it's not this one.
