Okay, the other night I watched Normal Again again {hee}, and
something really struck me in the final scene. When Buffy apologises
to the group, she NEVER looks at Dawn. EVER. In fact, she only looks
at Willow (tho the shot was probably meant to include her looking at
Will, Xander, and Tara, but the editing screwed it). Even more in
fact, MT looks uncomfortable for a moment...like she's supposed to be
included in the apology but isn't so she's at a loss as to what to do.

ANYWAY, what do you all make of that? Throughout this season I've
periodically felt like Buffy shuts out Dawn, and in a way that goes
beyond her general depressiveness. It's almost as if there's some
underlying resentment there. And it's confusing because the
resentment-tinged ignoring does NOT coincide with the *textual* gripes
about Buffy's emotional and/or physical unavailability.

Does anyone understand what I just said? Comments?
