Kirayoshi & Stef,

Not only did Sunnydale High have a mascot, but we met him, and boy was
he crunchy! Yep, Herbert the Razorback (okay, just a piglet), as seen
in "The Pack", newly purchased (according to an early draft of the
script, he was all they could get for the paltry $18.23 raised by the
mascot drive), dressed up by Principal Flutie, and soon devoured by
Xander, Kyle, Rhonda, Tor, and Heidi. After which, Xander tried raping
Buffy while the others went on their infamous visit to the principal's
office.

No replacement mascot is seen at further SHS atthletic activities ("Some
Assembly Required", "Go Fish", "Earshot"), and the athletic exploits of
UC Sunnydale's teams have gone completely unmentioned.

(who's thinking that the most appalling thing is that they apparently
didn't pluck or shave Herbert before they ate him. If there's anything
worse than raw pig, I'm betting it's pig hair?)
