Channel 7 does it again to Once More With Feeling

Another rant from a disgruntled Aussie BtVS viewer...

I was sitting back getting ready to watch Once More With Feeling last nite.
It started and the weirdest things started to happen...

The voices of the entire cast were somewhat different. Not totally
noticeable.. but noticeable none the less. I couldn't believe it. The
episode was sped up!
Did any other Aussie notice how the boys' voices were not as deep as they
normally are? Did the entire male cast all sacrifice a testicle to achieve
the required sound that Aussie viewers were subjected to? Just to make sure
I was not going completely mental, I threw on a CD and DVD and compared
voices. It wasn't me. It was OMWF! The voices were playing at a higher
pitch. Some dialogue and all musical numbers were pitch affected!

The faster speed this was shown at would have save channel 7 about 2
minutes - what's that - 4 commercials.. At least the episode was complete,
even if it was like listening to a cover of the OMWF soundtrack by Alvin and
the chipmunks. I am more inclined to think that Xander's voice (and the rest
of the cast for that matter) sounds more realistic in the UPN version I have
of the ep, than the ep that aired on Australian TV last nite. The difference
was more noticeable with the male voices.


Did anybody else notice this?

PS: I have copied channel 7 in on this email so they know what's going on...
