Dan,

I definately see what you mean. And honestly, I have
always thought that Buffy was hinting towards being in
love with willow, but thats cause I like the pairing. 
I guess you are right about Spike not knowing, unless
he just heard the other scoobs talking about it.

I know now that it isn't a vampire thing, or as you
said, she never would have cared Riley went to the
whore house...lol...or Angel became human. She did
though. Oh well..
