Re: Double Meat Palace and Dead Things

Well I wasn't a big fan of 'Dead Things' actually. All the Buffy/Spike stuff
just kinda freaked me out. And to me the whole molecular change excuse
seemed like a copout. Buffy has been acting different all season and Willow
never finished the spell because the urn got broken. I thought there would
be some kind of connection. But nothing, just a tiny biological difference.
As Xander said it; 'Big overture, little show'. I was disappointed. :(

As for 'Doublemeat Palace', well I don't think I've had a fast food burger
since I saw it out of some kind of unconscious fear LOL The whole episode
just seemed like filler, and boring filler at that. But shippywise it was
actually kinda nice. Two episodes in a row Willow literally saved Buffy's
life. I think it's only happened once before in the entire history of the
show.(Willow stopping Buffy from ingesting the virus concentrate in 'Killed
By Death' being the other one).

And I just gotta love the metaphor. Willow, Buffy's lesbian best friend,
saves her, by 'castrating' the evil snake monster, that looked suspiciously
like a penis. And from what I've read, it was indeed supposed to look like
that LOL It would be nice if it was metaphorical foreshadowing, that Willow
frees Buffy from the evil penis of the resident peroxide King. But I won't
hold my breath :(

Buffy:"I could wrestle naked in grease for a living and still be cleaner than
after a shift at the Doublemeat."
Willow:"Plus, I'd visit you at work every single day."
