I was at a convention in Sydney over the weekend which was attended by Nick Brendon. Can I just say WOW..

I was shocked to hear what he had to say about season 7. 

He said that Joss mentioned that it was unlikely that BtVS will continue after next season - yes.. due to Firefly mainly and movie projects. And also, Joss really wants to do a BtVS movie in the future!
