Okay, here's my take on the newest installment in the Whedonverse. With
the whole Spike/Anya thing, we saw just how hurt Xander is, especially
after the wannabe Billy Idol opened his mouth about him shagging the
Slayer. And why the frell does Spike show up on camera, anyway? When did
that rule about vampires change (yeah, I know, lots of screw-ups on
Angel, too)?

Dawn returning or paying for all the things she stole... she'll be in
debt for a bit. Especially now that we have NO idea who'll be running
the Magic Box. Well, maybe some ideas...

Willow/Tara kissage. Yay. Hell, the "Yay" is just for the fact of being
able to put it IN the show. That, and I loved the speech. "Can we just
skip all that and get to the part where you kiss me?" Who wrote this
one, I wanna give them a hug... and a bribe to make it happen more
often... so long as *my* redhead is kissing someone other than her
pseudo-Brit boyfriend (yes, I, too, am jealous of Alexis - but just
begrudgingly so). I have an obsession with redheads... and, yes, I'm in
therapy. Leave me alone.

Ignoring the rest of the episode, I'm jumping straight to the previews.
Now, what did it say? "Forget everything you've heard," something like
that. All this time, the rumors have been that Tara is killed. If you
pay attention though, the voice that says "Baby?" might not be Willow...
I think it's Anya. With the HUGE length of time they've been friends,
don't you think Willow would still go apeshit if Xander was the one that
died, instead of Tara? After all, who is more likely to step in front of
a bullet for Buffy? He did it in The Replacement when the Toth Demon
fired a shot; it makes sense he'd do it again. He loves her that much...
which is why he and Anya would never have worked out.

With Anya a Vengeance Demon again, I doubt she'll continue to be so
interested in something mundane like running the store... not with all
those scorned women out there. If Willow IS still the Big Bad for S6,
and burns herself out of magick (or permanently blocks herself), either
she or Tara could run the shop next year. Also, there's that shot with
Xander and Buffy talking in the UPN "May Sweeps Preview" where it's very
bright and they are both wearing light color clothing... Slayer prophecy
dream, maybe? After all, Buffy is supposed to be hit by a bullet as
well, though not lethally. And what's up with Dawn the Semi-Human
Flamethrower?

Okay, there's my bit for what I thought of this and what I think will
happen next week. Any takers?

P.S.
I have two Finals Thursday, then I can go back to doing more of what I
enjoy so much... writing fic! Ch VII of Intervention is being resumed,
for any who care.
