I didn't get that either. Coz Willow rushes out to tell buffy that xander took the ax, so why not go adn make sure no one gets hurt? (stupid writers)

I was under the impression that the reason she wasnt around Willow so much was that
1) at first it hurt to much
2) WHy would she want to jeopardize Willow's 'no magic' go. Coz seriously Tara uses magic why would she hang out with her ex who is addicted to the power it has?

Again I just think that she didn't want to remind Willow of the magic. But after awhile (After the hurt had subsided) she couldn't stand not being around Willow. She stood up for her in the birthday ep. She's always been there. DON'T get me wrong B/W is my ship, by why blame a character when it seems like it was the writers fault. IMO
