Re: Re: Way OT: TV shows

Hey, Dan(yeah, I know, I'm a little late for the party)

I'm actually a semi-fan of JAG, having watched it a few times when BtVS is on
reruns and I don't feel the compulsion to see it twice in rapid
succession(most of season six, as it happens). I even had three of JAG's
characters, Colonel Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie, Admiral A.J. Chegwidden, and CIA
agent Clayton Webb, appear as a running-gag cameo in my story "Return".
Definitely conservative in its politics, but solidly acted and written. I'm
admittedly fond of Don Belisarius, having been a huge fan of the under-rated
"Quantum Leap".

I did find the show almost unwatchable last season, BTW, because Sarah was
engaged to an Australian cliche named Mick Brumby. And for the record, list
resident Aussie Tony McD shares my low opinion of Brumby. They broke up in
the season premiere, so everything's cool again. But still, Mac and Mick
were, IMO, the WORST pairing in recent television history. At least until
Buffy started kissing Spike...
