Re: My take on W/T
Jolie,
I never said B/W authors can't also like W/T (many, maybe even most,
listmembers do), or vice versa. I just gave my opinion, when asked.
And I recognize the value of an on-air lesbian relationship for the GLB
community; I just personally don't get excited by this particular
relationship. Indeed, some of my criticism of Tara as a character is
tempered by the knowledge that ME felt they had to make her extremely
vanilla and non-threatening to get the relationship on the air. But I
still don't like the character.
Like Oz, to me she's mostly just "Willow's date". I feel the original
characters (and some others, like Jenny and Faith) were more fully
realized, and I prefer to 'ship among them. But that's simply my
opinion, which differs from yours. Neither of us is defintely wrong.
