I just saw Spider-Man too. Dynamite stuff, and I've always said that Peter 
Parker is a spiritual grandfather to Buffy Summers. Look at the 
similarities; a troubled, reluctant hero whose past mistakes haunt him, whose 
love-life is often a disaster, who has to constantly make sacrifices in his 
personal life to deal with the responsibilities his powers have given him, 
and who often has to scramble to make ends meet. Not to mention a bizarre 
and colorful rogues gallery. I vote for Doctor Octopus in the next movie.

In fact, with those facets in mind, I hereby lay down the gauntlet of 
challenge. The challenge is this;
1) go watch Spider-Man.
2) write a crossover fic involving Buffy and gang investigating vampires in 
New York, and Buffy hooks up with Spider-Man. Bonus points if you can 
involve a friendship forming between Willow and Mary Jane(those gorgeous 
redheads have to stick together).
