Re: Poll results for buffywantswillow

Well the poll results (on BuffyWantsWillow, since that's where the ep
discussion seems to be hanging out) went this way, so let's try it.

We're going to be using the DISCUSSION tag for DISCUSSION of "Villains"
and the SPOILERS tag for any information/rumor about the final two eps
that didn't come straight from your own fevered imagination. (This
includes the TV Guide description, what your brother says he heard,
whatever.) Okay? So replying to a DISCUSSION post and bringing up
SPOILERS without CHANGING the tags is NOT allowed. (Hopefully, this
will sort out last week's confusion.)

For those who want to talk about both things and use the two-tiered
system we'd been using (with separate SPOILER SPACE for the finale),
feel free. Just label the posts something like "OT: 'Villains'
DISCUSSION and SPOILERS for Finale", and then reassure us ABOVE the
DISCUSSION SPACE that you're going to keep the SPOILERS separate and use
the separate SPOILER SPACE.

Those of you who want to mix together your "Villains" commentary and
your spoilers for the Finale, just call the post "OT: SPOILERS for
Finale". Since the unspoiled don't want to read the spoilers anyway,
there's no point in teasing us by mentioning that you're also discussing
the current ep. Let that just be a bonus for your spoiler buds.

So let's see posts that say "OT: 'Villains' DISCUSSION" or "OT:
SPOILERS for Finale" and let's have everything properly labelled, okay?
We've only got one week to go, and there's no reason to be sloppy and
spoiling people accidentally.

Quick notes:

Both "Two to Go" and "Grave" are considered the Finale. They're both
airing on the same night, so for SPOILER classification purposes,
they're one ep.

I've experimented with putting the DISCUSSION tag at the end of the line
and the SPOILER tag at the front, as above, as a further method of
separating the two types of posts. May not be entirely necessary, but
what's the harm?

And, one last time, if you stray from DISCUSSION territory to posting
SPOILERS, you MUST CHANGE the tags and not simply let "re: 'Villains'
DISCUSSION" stay up there. Sorry to keep overemphasizing this point (I
feel like a general "fighting the last war") but I wanted to make it
clear, just in case.

Since I haven't mentioned it yet, I might as well note that both the
DISCUSSION SPACE and SPOILER SPACE should be 20 lines, at least. And
remember to include the appropriate SPACE in ALL posts, regardless of
the tags, since it's wrong to assume people can just delete the posts
without opening them.

Once again, I invite everyone to share your thoughts (particularly your
B/W-centric ones), despite this little Spoiler Spaz of mine.

Thanks,

Dan
