Xena said I will personally talk to the council of elders and do my 
best to get them to agree to the compromise.Buffy said we know you 
will and we will be waiting for your call.The next second Willow said 
wait Buffy i have an idea for something in case they wont agree to 
the compromise.Buffy looked at Willow and she said whats your idea.
Willow said well if they dont agree to the compromise we can still 
meet with them but because we will have to be unarmed it will be a 
public location of our choosing.Cordelia said thats a good idea and 
Faith said yes it is but we should wait to tell them where we are to 
meet just an hour before the meeting is to take place.Buffy said i 
agree and then she said Xena did you hear everything Willow and the 
others said.Xena said yes i did and i will inform them of your offer 
if they turn down the compromise.Buffy said well hopefully they will 
agree to a public meeting site choosen by us because if they dont we 
will be on a flight to California sometime tommorrow.Xena said I'll 
call back as soon as i get off the phone with the council of 
elders.Xena pressed the end button and then she tossed Angel's 
cellular phone to him after saying Angel catch.Angel caught his 
cellular phone and slid it into his front pants pocket.

Xena turned to face Gabrielle and she said Gabrielle let me have 
your cellular phone.Angel who had gone back to watching the movie 
turned around and he said Xena why did you ask Gabrielle for her 
cellular phone when you just had mine less than a minute ago.Xena 
said I am going to call the council of Elders and they only want 
certain people to know the phone numbers which they can be reached by 
so i will be using hers instead of yours so it isnt in your cellular 
phone's memory.Gabrielle handed Xena her cellular phone after pulling 
it out of her purse.Xena flipped open the phone and after thinking 
for a few seconds she dialed one of a number of phone numbers for the 
council of elders that she had memorized over the years since the 
telephone was invented.

A minute later the phone was answered and a deep male voice said 
identify yourself and the task you were assigned.Xena said elders it 
is me Xena.Elder Mercedes said Xena to what do we owe this call 
to.Xena said i am calling on the behalf of Buffy Summers and her 
friends who i thought you wanted to meet with.Elder Konal said we do 
want to meet with them and we will meet with them tommorrow night as 
planned.Xena said Elders when i got off the phone with you last night 
i thought you had agreed to allow Buffy and her friends to come to 
the meeting armed with their personal weapons as long as they werent 
guns or explosives but according to Lassiter they cant have any 
weapons at all.Elder Anthony said Xena we were only thinking about it 
at the time and we made our decision late this morning and as you 
stated they cannot be armed with any weapons.Elder Liassa said Xena 
you must understand that never in the whole history of the council of 
elders has any person or group ever been allowed to meet with us 
while they were armed.Elder Konal said for us to do so now for the 
slayer's group would set up a bad precident which we Elders cannot 
allow to happen.Xena said Elders i know where you are coming from and 
you are lucky that Buffy and her friends are still willing to meet 
with you even if they have to be unarmed.Elder Weber said like they 
really had a choice if they had choose to refuse to come to the 
meeting we would have sent enforcers to escort them to us.Xena said 
Elder Weber such a move would be foolhardy for the slayer's group 
would see such an act as one of an attack and would fight with 
everything they had at their disposal.Elder Anthony said i agree with 
Xena such an act would be foolhardy and i would resign before 
approving such an action.

Elder Konal said Elders we are getting off the track of the subject 
so lets get back to it.Elder Konal said Xena you must have really 
talked to them for quite a while to get them to agree to meet with us 
unarmed.Xena said no i didnt one of them suggested it but there are 
some conditions tied to it which you must agree to.Elder Liassa said 
what are these conditions that you speak of.Xena said if they are to 
meet with you unarmed they want it to be in a public location and you 
will not know where it is to be until an hour before the meeting is 
to take place.The Elders were all shocked upon hearing this.Elder 
Weber said they dont really expect us to agree to those conditions do 
they.Xena said they dont expect anything elders but if you disagree 
to the conditions and wont let them be armed they will leave for 
California tommorrow.Elder Anthony said i cant believe their audacity 
to place such conditions as a requirement for the meeting if we are 
to meet with them is completely outrageous.Elder Briac who had been 
silent so far said my fellow elders it is only to be expected after 
what has happened to the slayer's group since they came up here to 
help us.Elder Mercedes said what do you mean by that Elder Briac.
Elder Briac said we told them we wanted to meet with them but 
postponed the meeting for several days after they got back to 
Toronto.Elder Konal said Elder Briac we all agreed to do so to knock 
them a bit off balance which has been done.Elder Briac said true that 
was our original intention but the situation has gone beyond what we 
meant it to.Elder Briac said when their motel rooms were broken 
into,their weapons taken,and the note was left for them it drove the 
sharp point home that they in unfamiliar territory and anyone could 
be a possible enemy.Elder Weber said Xena do you have any idea of 
where they might choose a meeting place.Xena said no i dont they are 
all keeping it close to the vest that way no one can move a large 
group of people into the area without them catching on.Elder Anthony 
laughed for about a minute and then he said i say we agree to 
it.Elder Konal said but Elder Anthony to meet with them in a public 
place is just too dangerous.Elder Liassa said yes it is dangerous but 
not only for us but them as well so you see it levels the playing 
field

After a few minutes all the elders were in agreement to meet with 
the slayer's group in a public place.Xena said i will call them as 
soon as i get off the phone with you.Elder Briac said wait Xena and 
then he said Xena i want you to be our liason between them and us 
since you know how to contact us and they dont.Xena said i believe 
that was their intention all along Elders.
