Oh, Jenn, a favor if I could ask it?
As I mentioned in a post earlier today, I was over on the Kitten Board,
reading the "Villains" thread
which
is
why
I
should

here
And they were complaining about Amber not getting ANY sort of credit in
the ep (not even in the end credits), which they thought was gauche,
given that ME had given her the nice send-off by putting her in the
opening titles for "Seeing Red".
Someone suggested that there was a rule that you couldn't credit an
actor who had no lines and asked for counter-examples. Well, it would
take some time for me to register there, and I'd feel a little
hypocritical posting when I wasn't that fond of Tara, myself, but I do
in fact have the counter-examples, so if you (or someone else) wants to
put them up in the "Villains" thread, please be my guest.
Here we go:
in "Consequences" , Jack Plotnick gets a credit (not merely in the end
credits, but full guest-star billing), for playing Allan Finch, even
though Allan is already dead, appears only in Buffy's nightmare in the
teaser and has no lines at all. Ironically, Plotnick did NOT get
guest-star credit for his first two appearances in "Homecoming" and
"Lovers Walk".
And in "Something Blue", Elizabeth Anne Allen got a guest-star credit
(again, not in the end, but full guest billing) despite the fact that
she had no lines was only in the show for about 10 seconds as Willow
unknowingly de-rats and then re-rats Amy. (Of course, she was naked, so
it was a memorable role, but that's OT...)
So there was certainly no rule against crediting Amber, and indeed, I
think it was cheap of them not to do so.
