RE: Season Finale Thoughts *SPOILERS*
Well, I don't know if it was 'the' worst episode. I think Bargaining 1 & 2
hold that title. Continued below for spoilery comments...

Subject: Season Finale Thoughts *SPOILERS*
Has it been 22 episodes already? It seems to have flown by. Another 4
months of waiting it out.

Well honestly I don't know what to say. I was spoiled, and while I still
hoped there might be something we were missing, I knew what was coming.
And
you know what, it didn't even prepare me for the total and utter crap that
happened tonight. I'm not going to go into details, not gonna break down
scenes like Dan does, not gonna hit on what I liked and what I didn't
like.
Because honestly, I can't believe that was an episode of Buffy.
Everything, everything they have built in the past 6 years, all the
relationships, all the characters, all the faith I had in Joss and the
writing
staff, it went out the window tonight. What they did to Willow, there's
one
term for it.
Character assasination.
Pure and simple. All season we've heard Buffy moan and groan about hating
this world, how hard it is just to be in the world. And we finally
thought
she had her epiphany in 'Normal Again'. Guess not.
Killing Tara, killing Katrina, killing Warren.
And the most important thing of all.
Making Willow evil.
Everything was a plot device to make Buffy Buffy again. And its the most
ridiculous and stupid thing I've seen in a long time.
And lets not even get me started on the fact that for 2 hours Willow was
trying to kill everything, everyone she loved. And Xander says I love you
three times and everything is alright? Bullshit.
>From a shipper standpoint I dont think it gets any worse than what
happened
in this episode. Sure Buffy said that she was not protecting the nerds,
she
was trying to save Willow. And a couple of times I actually felt like
that
might be the case. But when they started beating on each other, I just
don't
know how they can ever fix the damage that caused.
If they can fix the damage i'd be very surprised as well!
The way Willow talked to her, it was so cold, so venemous, and it chilled
me
to the core. And just because Giles little trojan horse did its job,
Willow
still did all those things, she still murdered Warren, she still tried to
kill Buffy and everybody else. And she would have most certainly killed
Dawn
if Buffy wouldn't have shown up.
So my question is, how in the hell do we go into next season and actually
like Willow? How can we watch her interact with the gang, be a part of
that
gang, after seeing tonight's episode?
I'm willing to watch the season premiere and see what happens, but if they
try and pick up where this left off, and make it like everything is just
peachy. Well it just will be downright stupid.
Oh, and one last thing, I swear, if they try and pair Buffy and William
next
season, they can count me out. Cuz you know Spike doesn't really exist
anymore, if he's souled, than he's not Spike, he's William. So Joss and
company don't just destroy our ship, they still the initials of it too.
Well Spike wasn't exactly the worlds greatest villain so his being souled
doesn't really bother me. Although getting his soul back was actually his
fault in the first place. When asking the big evil's to do something, you
have to be very, very specific. All he (Spike) said was "I want to be the
way I was..", which left it upto them to decide what he meant. But I can't
see Buffy with Spike or William next season myself either.
And ok, yes, I might sound melodramatic here but..................
Hated it more than I think I've hated anything.
Try watching FIN and not crying at the stupidity of what they did. IMHO it
pretty much beats "Two to Go/Grave" hands down.

They did do everything they could to pretty much make it impossible for
you to like Willow after everything she did to Buffy, Dawn and co. This is
not to mention how Willow'll deal with murdering Warren and Rack (yes, he
was slime and evil, but even still it was wrong).
But try watching the last ep of Xena, "Friend in Need", now that was a
truly evil episode that pretty much makes this one pale in comparison, at
least IMHO.

Buffy:"I could wrestle naked in grease for a living and still be cleaner
than
after a shift at the Doublemeat."
Willow:"Plus, I'd visit you at work every single day."
