I think everyone on this list cheers whenever we see a B/W moment.
There were plenty of them in the early seasons. There have been a
few this season. But, there were absolutely none last night. Except
for her mention of not wanting to lose a friend, Buffy never once
showed any caring toward Will. In their many interactions throughout
the 2 hours, there was never an "I don't want to lose you", "I care
about you", "I love you", "I'll do anything to help you" ...
nothing. She didn't hesitate to beat the crap out of Willow, but
never once asked her what she could do to help.
I can somewhat excuse Willow's actions and words. She really wasn't
herself. (I'm sure I wasn't the only one who cheered when she told
Dawn what we've all thought of her this entire season.) But, there
wasn't a shred of evidence that the Slayer she was attacking was ever
anything more than an enemy.
It broke my heart. The writers did not show us one hint of the
longstanding friendship between these two women. Thank God for this
list and others like it. Through the many talented fF writers, Buffy
and Willow will live on as two people connected by a very unusual and
very powerful bond.
