OTish: Trying to find a fic

Hi Everyone :-)

I'm trying to find the name and the author of a fic. I read the start of it
about 1 (maybe 2) years ago, and I don't think I ever read the end. These
are the bits and pieces I remember (hopefully they're right):

1) Willow left/disappeared for a very long time, then suddenly turns up or
Giles' (or Buffy's) doorstep
2) When she returns she is a powerful witch, and has a male companion
(apprentice?) with her 
3) I think she was blind in one eye (from a fight with a demon?)

I know it's not much to go on, but it has been a long time since I read it,
and any help is really appreciated.
