This story is rockin! I could see ripples in the whole Snyder-letter
thing and Jonathan running into Willow (which REALLY surprised me and
immediately got me to thinking about Earshot). Oh, yeah, and there's
the "I love you", of course.

I teared up during Willow's grief over lost innocence, laughed at
Xander's attempt to capitalise (seemed VERY Xander, somehow), and I
really liked the touch of Oz noticing that Willow's not exactly the
same as she was yesterday. However, I was a bit confused about Will's
face being physically older, seeing as she's got S2 hair. I could
understand her *expressions* being "different somehow", but either BOTH
her hair and body are S6, or neither are.

POV nit. How would Willow know about Angelus reading the inscription?
(Technically, Angelus never needed an invite into the school -- a
public building -- anyway. I've always fanwanked his reply to Jenny as
a bit of vampire sardonicism.)

Great stuff!
