Glad you liked it!

I had to have Willow shut down Buffy's self-deprecating speech. Am I
the only one that is a little tired of Buffy's adamant refusal to stop
wallowing in misery and insecurity? It smacks of disingenuousness and
false-humility.

As for the set up for a bad-Willow? Never happen- not in my fic anyway.
First off, HATED the whole 'Willow's an addict' story arc. I will
always have Wicked Wiccan Willow (wicked in a good way) in my stories.
(not including those that take place in the days before she became a
witch in the first place) No bad-black-wigs in my tales. (oh yeah, No
Freaking Killing-Tara allowed either!!!)

As to the Key thing, since I wouldn't make a mistake like that <g> Buffy
must have told them during one of their brief pauses during orgasmathon
2000. You will see a few more continuity twists as they go. Pretty
much as advertised- AU after triangle.

Mmm, I love all these parts, too...

Liked the shout-out to VampXander's line from "The Wish" (although I was
less fond when it got repeated in the dialogue; smacked a little too
much of Season 6 bankrupt writing), and positively giggled at the bit
with the lady cop. (If she's that hottie from "Becoming, Part 2", she
can stop by anytime!)

And I liked Buffy deliberately including the "I love you" to Tara and
Willow giving the smackdown to Buffy's "I'm so grateful" talk. Yeah,
some sacrifice by W/T, there.

Also liked the bits about the secret fondling "that we never did" and
Buffy's appreciation for Tara's hidden qualities. Of two minds about
that last line, though: you get clever points for the shoutout to
Tara's cut "Evil's...good" line from "Seeing Red", but much beloved
though that was by W/T 'shippers (for accompanying Willow-diving
content), I never liked the line itself, as it was a blatant set-up for
BadHairWillow's coming appearances. (See also my non-appreciation for
Buffy's "you never stop coming through" set-up in "Normal Again".)

But aside from that, much fun.

PS-I absolutely loved the "Halloween" reference and Willow dealing
with the "Dawn wasn't really there" factor, but I'm too lazy to check:
did you have Buffy tell W/T about Dawn in an earlier chapter (didn't
happen until "Blood Ties" in canon) or was this a slight twisting of
continuity?
