OT: Fwd: Nickelodeon's Gay Parent Special: Make your voice heard!

Hi Guys,
As some of you know Nickelodeon is airing a special to help kids
understand families with same sex parents, and to show them there isn't
any real difference between them and families with heterosexual parents.
This is a show about tolerance and acceptance.

However there are some, who have decided that Nickelodeon is using the
show to promote the gay lifestyle, and have deluged the people at
Nickelodeon with letters and emails, insisting they not air the program.
These are the same people that show up at funerals for gay people, with
signs saying they deserved to die for being gay.

I'm not here to force anyone to vote one way or the other, but I just
want you to go vote it only takes a couple of minutes.

If this violates some list rules, I am most sincerely sorry, and if you
feel you need to kick me off the list I understand. I just felt this
needed to be ot there so people would see what's going on.

Dear Voter,

Nickelodeon's decision to air a special for children about same-sex parents has generated a firestorm of criticism from conservative family groups. The leader of the Traditional Values Coalition calls the show "a cover for promoting homosexuality for kids." But the show's producer, Linda Ellerbee, told Reuters that "it is not a promotion of the homosexual lifestyle. It is a promotion of tolerance and respect."
